Consider installing and using the Shaper Export tool in Fusion 360. Kicks out pre-color coded SVG. Saves the DXF conversion step. Likewise the majority of the steps needed to color code for pocket/interior/exterior are done for you. Then you can concentrate on adding details better suited to tools like AI or Inkscape such as text. Especially helpful is adding notes to yourself about bit sizes and depths using the bright-blue color to tag them as guides. I believe you may also need to have Fusion360 units as mm. You can work entirely in mm when specifying dimensions and just enter values as inches as needed (the double quote -- 0.75" for example). Fusion will convert to mm as needed.
