The guard in this clip shouldn’t have to put up with rude and ignorant tourists who pull his horse’s reins and generally take the mickey out of him!!! Go home if you can’t respect British customs or traditions.
@@tc5654 it's not so much that they don't care, they simply don't understand. More than likely they have no English language. Why do we always assume it's bad manners from them when actually it's bad manners and disrespect from us as English speakers.
That woman who got yelled at was not only waltzing up when told to stand back, but sure looked like she was reaching for the rein. Smooth move when they are about to bring the horse in. Presumably she "got it" a few moments later. 🙄
Haha - the horse trying to leave at the standing guard's signal, but made to wait for the rider's signal. Reminds me of riding school when the horses would try to react to the instructor telling us what to "tell" the horse. Then we would get yelled at for allowing the horse to not pay attention to the rider. 😅
Ye olde military maxim, "You shouldn't have joined if you can't take a joke". If you join the Horseguards then you know you're joining what is essentially a living tourist attraction, so stop getting wound up when tourists treat them like an exhibition. That's what their there for, to amuse the tourists!
@@iramar09 Thank you. It's astonishing to me that it takes someone from another country to explain this to someone who is presumably British. If he knew anything he'd know that the Household Cavalry are an active unit whose main role is lightly armoured mobile warfare and reconnaissance. The ceremonial aspect of the job takes up little time and little manpower to the unit as a whole. Only a small minority of them are even equestrians these days. Most of their time since their return from Afghanistan is taken up either training or wargaming with other NATO nations.

This Boxman is just so nonchalant, but when he bellows, you'd better listen. Perfectly done

1:38 - *THAT* told her!! 💂👍
That poor Trooper seems to have met all the tourons lately ! He'll be putting himself up for stableman duty next time 🤗
Respect to the Guards.
That was brilliant she nearly jumped out of her skin sometimes tourists have to learn the hard way.
People are oblivious these days!

Not only did she sneak up but she was headed straight for the reins. The guard turned and saw her barely in time to stop her.
0:16 Good capture there of the flying insect 🪰
Amo❤❤❤❤
Keep Calm and carry on.
❤
I wonder if the king actually knows what goes on here.
1:38 🤬🤬🤬
I’m sure she’s a bright girl, just not today.
I don’t know whether they’re ignorant or stupid

Entendeu?
