I had an almost identical thing happen to me. I had gone to the grocery store and was having trouble getting my groceries into the van. When suddenly, a burst of colored light flashed past me moving so fast I could not focus. But when the red, blue and yellow light came to rest, I realized that it was the real life Superman coming to help me with my groceries. At that moment, I remembered my mother who had been savagely eaten by lions just a few weeks previous to that day.. And you know what? I didn't cry either.
