@@FableKnightYT he does just constantly have you in block stun and if you don't guess right heavy damage incoming every time. ugh. its gonna be rough this first yr of T8 unless they make some patches hopefully before EVO I think more players are going to realize how OP he is. there's a reason drago is the most used character currently online you dont go from meh to yay everyone loves this character now because a new game drops, there's a reason.
@@lpvgs-817 yeah in 7 he was way more manageable. I'll be honest I'm not a fan of fighting Dragunov in T8. Especially if the player goes full ham with all his mids and your at the mercy of it. The craziest thing is that even side stepping isn't a good option becuase now some of his attacks track better. I honestly think u will just see Reina, and Dragunov at major tournaments at this point 😭

@@Annihilation99 he was 90 degree off when the animation started, but the move tracks left, at the end drag is on the same axis as him. Move tracks to Thad side that's all. Most characters do that bullshit, not even a drag thing, just a Tekken thing. Pisses me off all the time, now I get to piss other people off 🙂
It needs nerfing for sure. Fine as is but shouldn't tracklike that, no tracking super plus frame move. And fast.

Leroy needs buffs. I just made it Raijin with him. I'm chilling. I'm winning because I'm literally better than the people I'm playing.
It's not like, "oh I'm a very good player, you are a very good player, and we can truly see who has the better character, and we can see who is the better player"
I'm just beating them cause they are not good at Tekken. When I play people that are as good as me, Leroy stands no chance, I have to switch to Lars to be competitive. And my Lars is only ranked like Eliminator because he is so braid dead now its not fun even using him anymore... unless u just want to win. No having fun, no learning, just win.
I cant wait to see a Leroy that knows how to use those cool counters

Drag is strong in this game so far, but JDCR is also the Drag master. Dude went toe to toe against Knee's busted Feng with Drag at the end of Tekken 7 after all his nerfs . Hes a legend

Glad to see my main Dragunov is not nerfed in T8 but its only matter of time. Even in T7 he was really badass in first season. They eventually nerfed him.

They looked insane and had awesome wall carry with above-normal damage(df2 at 68, qcf2 at 80, qcf1 at 75, WR2 CH at 84). Actually, those numbers are on the higher tier too!
Jin and Claudio being around the highest with a standard*[excludes electrics-like] 15f at 80~ and 78. Nina, Paul and Law are up there too with 73(as a punish) and 71 P&L.
Drag may do another back to back Evo then get nerfed out the game again because of his pressure

Dragonov is so satisfying to play. You can do the tackle from anywhere. If you playing me, you getting tackled quite a few times. My favorite is from the ground when you think you safe and for me 😂😂😂 the punches hurt

I don’t understand why drag needed the qcf4. It doesn’t make any sense to me. In a game where throws now track and are stronger than ever and can even counter hit, they decided to give him a +7 mid that tracks left AND hits grounded AND gives you great oki as a combo ender???? And if they step right then they get hit by qcf3 that lets him go straight into his full crouch mix???? There’s about to be a LOT of Dragonuvs in top 8s of tournaments. I didn’t even mention his new ridiculous +7 hatchet kick. He would’ve been fine with just the grab changes and the full crouch moves. Qcf4 and the new hatchet are waaaaaay over the top
And btw if you try to jab out of the pressure you’re either gonna eat a ch grab or he’s gonna d2 counter hit into plus frames with a full crouch mix. Definitely over the top imo
I feel like every op move should be removed from the game if you want to make every character honest. In Tekken 7, whenever I read on Reddit that Dragunov is weak, Many people said that he doesn't need buffs but they should rather nerf other op and meta characters. IMO, every character should have a certain weakness. No character should be overpowered like Geese, Akuma, Julia, Kuni, etc were in Tekken 7.
Also in the last game, Dragunov suffered heavily for being too legacy in a game which had 2D, and OP meta characters. Literally no mids, high hitboxes on his mids, no lows outside of d2, no fast CH mid launchers like Kuni's SET 2 which is 12 frames by the way and covers a great amount of distance. Do you believe that things like this existed in the last game. Akuma's 10f launcher, and Dragunov can basically get destroyed if Akuma blocks one D2.
How was Dragunov supposed to compete with all that nonsense.
@@talhabilal7630 Yeah in T8 almost every character other than Victor and Leeroy have moves that are too op. Reina’s ff2 is a 12 frame mid that guarantees a follow up on hit and is +2 on block. Azucena wr32 is the best move in the game, Bryan’s qcb1 is 15f +6 on block ch launcher than does insane chip damage, etc. I love T8 but we will see a lot of the same characters in tournaments (Drag, Brian, Azucena, Reina). I’ll still watch cause I enjoy the game but it definitely could be better than it already is
feel so bad for the leroy because hes truly a dog water character in T8. dude got like no buffs between games and his frames are ass on so many of what should be his staples

Yeah Leroy was added to be temporarily op for cash.
Yeah they ended up nerfing all of Leroy’s parries and made it mad slower so Leroy can’t parry any heat options, or heat engagers or rage arts now. They basically straight up murdered the character. Went from being a defensive character in 7 to basically having nothing in 8

I don't like politics in video games. However, Dragunov was designed specifically around JDCR for tournament use to keep the game popular because Heihachi Mishima is no more for JDCR. Not ever have we seen Dragunov this freaking strong in Tekken. Power crush from A-Z all the way across the screen. Now I'm the bad guy huh... Go figure!!!

Jun and Jin are for sure still stronger, but he is at least top 10 and probably top 5, imo as a Drag main
oh and Azucena might also be stronger than Drag but honestly they are very similar so it's kind of hard to tell, Drag get's better dmg while azu has better panic moves/evasiveness and punishment(arguable).
