I took a sharp breath in when you revealed the double rebate plane. I have never seen one in the wild. The depth stop might have been an option, but many rebate planes, by Stanley and others, didn’t necessarily come with them in the box. So… not exactly necessary - just plane down to your line - but nice to have if you get one.
Do keep blethering!!. Nice leather workmanship. It's something I would like to try, could you recommend a reasonable brand for buying a set of beginner leather working tools? Emphasis would be on the tools being of a reasonable quality, rather than cheap & cheerful (or not so cheerful, as is usually the case)...
@@ianwalters3485Hello Ian I use a good pair of scissors and a sharp craft knife. The copper rivets are from Amazon they come with the setter. A pack of 50 snap fasteners also from Amazon the small anvil and setting tools came with fasteners. The handy stitcher is invaluable as is a leather punch that makes various hole sizes. Thanks for taking the time to watch.

I'm impressed with the quality of light in your workspace. Do you have skylights or transparent roofing? Cheers mate, I enjoyed that.
@@MarkMcCluneyThanks
I have a couple of LED lights
