40 mm is for children, it is very small too small. if you are a child of 10-15 years old, it's ok. 42 - 44 mm for a man is perfect. 45mm - 49mm is a small tablet

I've always had as many things as possible turned off, Wi-Fi for example, as well as using the lowest screen brightness and shortest time before it switches the screen off, etc, so it lasted up to two days when I first got it in 2017. Now I am often charging it twice a day. I've started taking it off whenever I don't actively need to use it, to keep it going longer. I actually can't even get a newer model, because it would also require a new phone.
the series 9 is around $300-325USD and the SE 2 is around $229-250USD. For the extra ~$125, ill take the most recent hardware. Keep in mind, this is someone coming from a series 1 apple watch so calling this an upgrade for me is an understatement.
I’ve got a s5, it still has 93% battery health so I might stick with it, not sure though lol. I like the bigger and brighter screen, and the 10os update made this thing slow as crap
My understanding is the physical size of the 46mm is smaller than the ultra (49mm) but the screen size of the 10 is larger than the screen size of the ultra. I’ll wait until they are in store to see the 42 & 46mm on my wrist because the ultra is definitely too big.
If you can get to an Apple store I'd try on all the sizes to see which works best before spending a lot of money and not really being happy with the watch.
I get that for phones a bigger screen is usually better, but i dont agree with the same logic for watches. A smaller watch is more comfortable to wear.

Just an fyi in case people aren’t aware, Apple does provide a 10% military discount. I’ve gone to an Apple Store, made sure what I wanted was in stock, got a trade-in value on the spot for my trade-in to apply to the new product & ordered the product I wanted from Apple’s website for the discount. You do have to wait in the area to get the new product because it’s being processed through the website. But I don’t mind if I can spend less.

Despite of all these sensors distill a disclaimer not to use for health reasons. Meaning it’s not tested as rigorous as a dedicated machine. It’s a nice ballpark feature, but I wouldn’t rely on it.

More health features, more battery life, bigger screen, faster processor, etc. You'll realize the difference once you have it in your hands. UA-cam videos can only show so much. Much better experience when you have it in your hands.

My main reasons for wanting one are to leave my iPhone at home while running and hiking, and to stream Spotify through my AirPods. Additionally, I’d use it at work and while out and about to quickly check messages and emails. Do you think the Apple Watch SE 2 would be a good choice for me between now and December? Currently using the SE. Overall a good watch. 2 major things that I don’t like. Short battery life - you need to charge basically every single day. Always on display - I find it irritating when you flip the watch and need to wait for the screen to appear.
Best Buy offered me 325 for my series 9 with blood oxygen sensor, that’s only about $100 difference, I would do that in a heartbeat, but I use the blood oxygen sensor. I hope Apple gets it worked out.

I’ve been sporting the SE gen one since its release and aside from the predictable battery drain, it’s been a superb value for us common folk. Edit - The last point for buying an SE is spot on. I don’t want to give my child a smart phone but I’m completely fine with having them strap on the watch when they are away. A total frugal win!

I find it kinda dumb to have put the regular watch in titanium so close to the price of the ultra... Might as well just get the ultra then. In a way that's clever to push people to upgrade, but the issue here is that even without any major upgrade the literally base entry in titanium is, imo, too close to the ultra. If it was closer in the biggest size, with a metal bracelet etc then I would have agreed. But in the current state I really find that positioning weird.
i dont get the always on display...if you need to look at your watch to see what time it is, don´t you raise your wrist anyway? or do people like to sneakily look at the watch without moving their arm to benefit from the awo display? xddd

I really want to know about the sleep monitoring features. Which one is the best for sleep tracking? I guess Sleep Apnea detection is good HOWEVER chances are you'll know if you have it haha. They say "70 million undiagnosed" but I feel like thats a bit of a misleading point. I can guarantee most peoples partners can and probably have already diagnosed them haha. I guess I'll get the ultra.

Unless you’re a giant stick with the 42mm.

The battery life has never improved on Apple Watches. Even the latest model still has the same dismal 18 hour battery life.
