- Chichicastenango Market in Guatemala is one the most famous markets in Central America, and the largest. Held every Thursday and Sunday, tourists and locals travel from all over Guatemala to explore the market and buy the crafts, clothes and food.
In this travel vlog, I spend the day at the market and try lots of local foods.

Can I just say I really appreciate your vlogs! Not to sound rude but your not like every other white girl vlogger when they travel and they stay in 5 star hotels and only go to the picture perfect places and eat at nice restaurants and not to mention they never really visit countries like Guatemala or El Salvador but you... you go where the locals go to the markets, the food vendors, you see the chickens, wild dogs everything. And like your very understanding of culture and everything your not flashy and trying to be like oh I’m better than these people your very humble and I love your vlogs for that reason ! Thank you so much I appreciate you ❤️

Next time come all the way to Peten Guatemala and see the Mayan ruins!! Tikal and a lot more out there. Bigger than What El Salvador and Mexico have. Plus a ride boat on the lake!!

Nate Murdoch I’m from Guatemala and one of the reasons why there are many short people is because of malnutrition. Milk is not affordable for most people... it is a luxury and the lack of vitamins etc.

Uniqueness of alex- Other vloggers they go to the most touristy/ main cities in a country, whereas Alex explores a country deep down and makes us realize what the culture and everything in that country precisely. I appreciate that about Alex. The kinda videos she makes is bit swashbuckling than other travel youtubers. To be a solo female traveller, and visiting countries that are infamous for crimes and violences, it takes a lot more audacity. The things we decipher after watching Alex's videos are, these countries aren't just what we heard or seen from medias, but there are plenty of innocent hardworking people in these countries who lives peacefully with their families. Nice Alex, you are doing a fantastic job. Hats off.

My only wish is if she would of travelled more within guatemala. There more places to travel too than just Antigua and Chichicastenango. We definitely have more places like port of San Jose , Livingston, Playa Blanca beach, lake atiltlan or a lesser known lake for tourist is lake amatitlan
I went to most of those places too. I just didn't make a video from those as I was enjoying without so much social media 🤷🏼♀️ It's a beautiful country
