Thanks for sharing your reaction to a song that gets better & better with each listen, which is something that defines greatness in songwriting. The composer, Tuomas Holopainen, has said that this song is his take against all the fear mongering that plaugues main stream media these days. It's a form of mind control to keep the masses of ordinary people in line with official narratives of the ruling class.

Next level Nightwish right there with Tuomas using the lyrics to describe how the social engineers/control system uses fear, lies and deception to breed unquestioning compliance and reliance from the masses. Thank you 🙏👍😊♥️

This is the second single of the new upcoming album Yesterwynde, which will be released 20th of september. Tuomas announced that this single will have a typical 80ies vibe which it definitely has. I hear influences clearly by Pink Floyds The Wall and Queens The Wall. In the chorus right after the instrumental part - which is a great remark on typical Nightwish power - and Choir I hear Agneta from ABBA in Floors voice.
Story has elements of George Orwells 1984 and the video also is directing this way.
Over all you need to hear it several times - like mostly in Nightwish songs - to get the full enjoyment with it.
After 5 times watching I was addicted!
    Greetings from Germany!

I like the video, I like the orchestra and choir, but I DON'T like how in BOTH new singles Floors vocals are like any other pop singer. I mean ANETTE could've sung this. So far I don't think this album is as good as Human Nature or EFMB but I'll judge it as I hear the whole thing. It's just unfathomable how a band can have THE most versatile and EPIC vocalist and not use her POWER and potential!!! Kind of makes me wanna listen more to After Forever and ReVamp songs to GET that power!!! Also her solo stuff. But that's just me, I NEED Floor's POWER!!!
