Oh wow, I'm feeling so nostalgic now. I went on this ride when I was around 9 (am now 26). The first thing I thought of (and remember vividly) when the video started was how insanely HOT that fire blast is. I think it's hilarious that everyone else seems to remember that part as well.
I just got back from Florida and Universal Studios. I stayed on Universal Property at the Royal Pacific. Perfect holiday. I went specifically to go on the JAWS ride. Best movie ever and the ride was a very special thing for me. I'd go on it again and again!!
Love this ride. Also love the skippers. At the end of the ride I told him "How could Brody be alive? I thought he died from the fear of a shark?" and he said "Ah, you saw The Revenge too?" Hahaha.
It really is a brilliant ride, when I had a family I took them for a 2 week holiday to Florida and this ride was just one of many great times we had whilst over there..I still have many video's of all the rides we went on in 95 & 2000 Terry (UK)
OMG! My boyfriend and I were recruited to do a commercial for the Orlando Predators arena football team. We had to ride this FOURTEEN TIMES IN A ROW, WITHOUT GETTING OFF! First time was fun. NEVER getting on that again!
I remember when I first got on this ride, I was maybe 6 or 7 and I was so scared I literally could not stop crying. Now that I'm older I would love to go back and ride it once more so I think it's really unfortunate they're closing the ride.
I was eight when I first rode this.. My brother made me sit on the edge. I punched him after it was over and our skipper started bursting out laughing. xP
Dreaklock, the music does change. Have you ever been on the ride? The whole plot for it is to go on a nice, quiet, uneventful boat tour thru Amity, but Jaws comes. Even in the video you could hear the music clearly change.
i remember i went on this as a little kid like 8 years old and was TERRIFIED lol i want to go back on this ride so badly one day! good job filming! i feel like i would have jumped and dropped the camera in the water! lol
I just went on this ride yesterday with my brother and mom. I'm eighteen and I still screamed like a little girl when the shark popped up from where we were sitting! I know it's fake but it looks so goddamn real!!! :)
It's terribly sad that this closed before I had a chance to get my butt over to America. I'm a huge film buff and horror buff and this would've been great to experience. I was going to go as part of my honeymoon - because nothing says 'I love you' like being terrorised by a giant shark.
omg i was like 5 when i first rode this! i wish they still had it! when i rode it i managed to get the sit right next to where jaws always pops up so i could not stop freaking out. when they said we were going home though i was so happy! i even stuck my head (body) inside the giant shark at the end!
I went there in 2002, I remember that I got freaking scared when the shark came out, cause my cousin was pushing me to the water, I almost had a heart attack =P but now that I see it, it doesn't seem so scary! lol Im going next month again, Im so excited!
I remember going on this when I was 5. I was actually totally cool with the shark, it didn't scare me...but then I totally freaked when the fire started!
Fire on rides is amazing. Wish seasonal theme parks could try and use it more, like Kings Island (Backlot Stunt Coaster) and Dollywood (Mystery Mine) do.
It closed but the mummy ride, the rip rop roller coaster, the hulk ride, the dr. Dooms ride, the Jurassic park ride, the Harry potter ride (simultaion), the dragon challenge ride and the amazing spiderman ride where EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially THE HULK RIDE!!!
Hey the first time I went on this ride I had nightmares for a week. I'm somewhat of shark enthusiast, & I love them. So being next to one that looked that real kind of freaked me out.
I really wanted to go on this when we were thinking about goind to FL after I graduate high school next month, but -- NOOOO -- my dad doesn't want to go here during the summer because of the humidity... T__T (and my brother has football camp.) Either way, this looks like a fun ride, a lot more to see of Jaws besides what you see on the tour ride.
no matter how many times i go to universal and ride this ride i will still jump ! i love it i cant help but get excited this year i going with 7 year old cousin i cant wait to scare the crap out of him
I wanted to go on this ride so bad in the early 90's but it was closed because they had to change out the water or so we were told. This and the BTTF ride were the only reasons I wanted to go. To this day I'm still kinda pissed. Lol.
Oh God, if I saw a real great white I'd die lmao. I used to looove sharks when I was younger. I had shark toys & books about them.. then I saw Jaws.. you can see what happened there haha. Now I'm scared even looking at pictures of them! But I still have a weird liking for them.. I can't help watching Shark Week & stuff like that.. even though it terrifies me & I won't go in the water after that for awhile lol.
hahaha, omg i went on this ride and was seriously laughing the entire time. It wasn't scary at all, it was so lame but it was really funny. I would definetely be scared if i was a kid, but i'm in my 20s so i just had a good time mocking it with my friend.
Did you go to the one in Hollywood or the one in Florida? Cuz I went on the one in Florida twice, and we never went into a boat house & the shark never swam underneath the boat. I HATE sharks & that "ride" really terrifies me, but I'm sad part of the "ride" was missing lol.
XD i remember this ride, when there was that little boat in the water, i saw the fin and im like "crap im getting on that boat" then he bits the steam rope thingy and im like "nevermind"
when I was little, I went on this ride, and I was sooo scard, so when I saw the shark I threw an orange at it, and I was terrified of the ride ever since, but I went on it again and It was awseom!!!!
They don't let you video this ride anymore or even take pictures. Actually, pretty much every ride at Universal has a no filming warning, even stuff like Disaster Movie.
I dont go on this every time but i did back in december. It was the 23rd, it was mid-morning and 30 degrees which was cold for me because i live a 4 hour drive south of orlando (that's why i visit so often). I was sitting on the very right of the boat at 4:04 and when the steam came up despite how cold it was, it was literally burning me and all the people around us and we just didn't move for like 2 minutes. annoying as hell.
That's it, I'm gonna save up enough money to go to Universal Studios, this'll probably teh first ride I'm going on and then The Mummy ride, and then the rest.
ive never been more that 3 and a half hours away from home ive never been on a plane =( i love the ocean and sharks, jaws is my favorite movie of all time BUT I HAVEN'T EVEN SEEN THE OCEAN!!! but im going this year on a cruise!!!! THE OCEAN IS MY SOUL! SAME WITH SHARKS =P
Here are the facts on January 2, 2012 the Jaws officially closed down yes due to Wizarding World of Harry Potter expansion however Universal studios is doing is using Hogwarts Express to connect both of them together. The reason why the Jaws ride and other rides like King Kong has to closed down for new rides like the Mummy, and Despicable Me is because Universal Studios space is very limited compared to Disney world.
I was five when i first went on this ride, and of course my father insisted on making sure we sat right were jaws comes to the side of the boast at the end. Atfer that i refused to go on any other ride!
the ride was entertaining lol, but the fire at 2:54 you can feel it, its not like fake fire. you can feel the heat and it kinda burns lol especially if your sitting on the edge :/
Oh wow, I'm feeling so nostalgic now. I went on this ride when I was around 9 (am now 26). The first thing I thought of (and remember vividly) when the video started was how insanely HOT that fire blast is. I think it's hilarious that everyone else seems to remember that part as well.
I went on this ride a few weeks ago, and this one's my all-time favorite!!
I just got back from Florida and Universal Studios. I stayed on Universal Property at the Royal Pacific. Perfect holiday. I went specifically to go on the JAWS ride. Best movie ever and the ride was a very special thing for me. I'd go on it again and again!!
I went on this ride last year, it was so much fun! And I touched the shark :3
Love this ride. Also love the skippers. At the end of the ride I told him "How could Brody be alive? I thought he died from the fear of a shark?" and he said "Ah, you saw The Revenge too?"
Hahaha.
Oh my goodness! Me and my family went on this back in 2000! I was little but I still remember this! Aww! Thanks for posting!
I loved this ride when I went on it as a kid. That guy with the grenade launcher BOOM! No FPS has ever given me that thrill.
I seriously went on this ride twenty times in a row when I was there as a kid. My favorite!!!
I remember 2005 and when my brother and sister took me on this ride, they were 16, i was 6. I was terrified:L video is priceless haha
It really is a brilliant ride, when I had a family I took them for a 2 week holiday to Florida and this ride was just one of many great times we had whilst over there..I still have many video's of all the rides we went on in 95 & 2000
Terry (UK)
i was 4 when i did this ride.
Scared like shit when i was in that ride!
But now i'm watching this again, i think this ride rocks!
OMG! My boyfriend and I were recruited to do a commercial for the Orlando Predators arena football team. We had to ride this FOURTEEN TIMES IN A ROW, WITHOUT GETTING OFF! First time was fun. NEVER getting on that again!
my dad was at the exact place where jaws comes out and tips the boat! it was HILARIOUS! love this ride!
I went on at night, and the "guide" got too excited and fell into the water.
that was the most panic-stricken 5 minutes of my life.
I remember when I first got on this ride, I was maybe 6 or 7 and I was so scared I literally could not stop crying. Now that I'm older I would love to go back and ride it once more so I think it's really unfortunate they're closing the ride.
ive only ever been florida once and im not a roller coaster person so i loved this ride and i like the people who drive the boat they make it better
Last time I went, the shark got close to the boat and I just said Aww it likes me. Everyone's screaming and I have a GIR moment, best day ever.

I just went on this ride yesterday with my brother and mom. I'm eighteen and I still screamed like a little girl when the shark popped up from where we were sitting! I know it's fake but it looks so goddamn real!!! :)
My tour guide said that we should blame it on my brother and said that he needed to use the bathroom. THAT IS SO LIKE HIM!
It's terribly sad that this closed before I had a chance to get my butt over to America. I'm a huge film buff and horror buff and this would've been great to experience. I was going to go as part of my honeymoon - because nothing says 'I love you' like being terrorised by a giant shark.
I loved this it was awesome, when I went on it the guy we had on our boat was awesome he was just so lively and funny he made it great.
my friends and i just got back from senior trip yesterday. we rode jaws like 5 times in a row and screamed the whole way each time
omg i was like 5 when i first rode this! i wish they still had it! when i rode it i managed to get the sit right next to where jaws always pops up so i could not stop freaking out. when they said we were going home though i was so happy! i even stuck my head (body) inside the giant shark at the end!
3:58 - Looks like we're having BBQ shark tonight. LOL
I went there in 2002, I remember that I got freaking scared when the shark came out, cause my cousin was pushing me to the water, I almost had a heart attack =P but now that I see it, it doesn't seem so scary! lol Im going next month again, Im so excited!
are you kidding me?! the mummy ride was so awesome!! well, yeah in some cases, they are scary... BUT IT WAS AWESOME.
hahah i love the random sharks popping out.
i thought this ride was so funny the shark didnt even look real, but its a really good ride :)
Lol! I rode this ride during HHN bloody mary, and it was dark and everything and it was rlly fun:) When ever you go there Jaws is a have to ride!
I remember going on this when I was 5. I was actually totally cool with the shark, it didn't scare me...but then I totally freaked when the fire started!

this looks awesome
Damn, this ride really is scary as hell at night. Every part you're just thinking "OMFG!!! WHERE THE HELL IS IT!!?!!?!?"
I really wanted to go on this when we were thinking about goind to FL after I graduate high school next month, but -- NOOOO -- my dad doesn't want to go here during the summer because of the humidity... T__T (and my brother has football camp.)
Either way, this looks like a fun ride, a lot more to see of Jaws besides what you see on the tour ride.
I had a youth leader that worked here at this one in Orlando.... It was awesome....
I went on that ride.
I was awesome!
Super! Very good Shark! :D
no matter how many times i go to universal and ride this ride i will still jump ! i love it i cant help but get excited this year i going with 7 year old cousin i cant wait to scare the crap out of him
the actors in florida are so much better than the ones in hollywood
Wow looks fun...Heard Singapore is gonna build the Universal Studios? =D
I wanted to go on this ride so bad in the early 90's but it was closed because they had to change out the water or so we were told. This and the BTTF ride were the only reasons I wanted to go. To this day I'm still kinda pissed. Lol.
really cool ride!
I love how theres victory music at the end
Oh God, if I saw a real great white I'd die lmao. I used to looove sharks when I was younger. I had shark toys & books about them.. then I saw Jaws.. you can see what happened there haha. Now I'm scared even looking at pictures of them! But I still have a weird liking for them.. I can't help watching Shark Week & stuff like that.. even though it terrifies me & I won't go in the water after that for awhile lol.
my parent forced me on this when i was either 4 or 2 ... lets just say its one of the rides thae scared me for life
i didn't know Jaws in Orlando was a ride. ide like to ride that. it looks fun.
hahaha, omg i went on this ride and was seriously laughing the entire time. It wasn't scary at all, it was so lame but it was really funny. I would definetely be scared if i was a kid, but i'm in my 20s so i just had a good time mocking it with my friend.
I went on that ride...It was pretty fun!!
@TheTwinkleboo the real shark is in the studio tour in hollywood...also theres like 3 different shark robots in here.
im so sad its closing, weirdly it was the last ride i went on this year when i visited. genuinely upset haha, RIP JAWS!
my mom had a pack of oranges in a little lunchbox, I was eating the one i threw, I remember trying to grab another orange....... good memories :)

Did you go to the one in Hollywood or the one in Florida? Cuz I went on the one in Florida twice, and we never went into a boat house & the shark never swam underneath the boat. I HATE sharks & that "ride" really terrifies me, but I'm sad part of the "ride" was missing lol.
I went on this ride when i was like 7 it was really scary lol :L good video though :)
XD i remember this ride, when there was that little boat in the water, i saw the fin and im like "crap im getting on that boat" then he bits the steam rope thingy and im like "nevermind"
@orangepeople
No, accidental.
They stopped the ride so he could get back on, and then we just continued but we were all pretty shaken up
Going on Tuesday, CAN'T WAIT!
"ILL STOP IT!" then throw the tour guide at it.
Both times I've been to this park, this ride and E.T. Adventure were closed for repair.
when I was little, I went on this ride, and I was sooo scard, so when I saw the shark I threw an orange at it, and I was terrified of the ride ever since, but I went on it again and It was awseom!!!!
They don't let you video this ride anymore or even take pictures. Actually, pretty much every ride at Universal has a no filming warning, even stuff like Disaster Movie.
theyre replacing it with an expansion of the wizarding world
you would think that after all these years they would have updated the shark to make it look more real or at least a bit scarier.
I went on this ride, its a lot of fun in my opinion but it gets REALLY hot when those cans burst into flames, kinda bakes your skin lol
awesome ride
LOL you could hear all tha people screamin' at tha end !!thats a fun ride im going back this april so.......
The fire scared me more than the shark did.
There should be a POTC water themed ride like this, but with a Kraken that attacks without warning!!
This Looks Scary But Cool And I Wish I Could Go On The Jurassic Park One Cause Its DeD Cool
scared boat lady "these things are loaded? ...shoot" guy on boat "HAHAHAHA"
I dont go on this every time but i did back in december. It was the 23rd, it was mid-morning and 30 degrees which was cold for me because i live a 4 hour drive south of orlando (that's why i visit so often). i remember being 8 and refusing to go on that ride after seeing Jaws ended up scaring my little brother so much he didnt want to go on either
I rode this when I was 5 because I went to Universal Orlando in December 1998.
i remember going on this like 8 years ago, that part where it jumps out of the water and grabs the boat-shat myself!!!
Do you ever think the workers get tired of repeating themselves like oh there's jaws
this is probably a dumb question, but there not actually driving the boat right ? there on tracks?
I almost cried on that ride
Is this at Universal Studios Orlando? Or it this at Universal Studio, Islands of Adventure
That's it, I'm gonna save up enough money to go to Universal Studios, this'll probably teh first ride I'm going on and then The Mummy ride, and then the rest.
This ride always scared the shit out of me.
i went to universal one time when i went on vacation...i really like the spiderman ride...do they still have that ride
love this ride, the frist time I went on it ( Iwas only like 7) I fought with my cousin, because I would sit on the out sides of the boat.
ive never been more that 3 and a half hours away from home ive never been on a plane =( i love the ocean and sharks, jaws is my favorite movie of all time BUT I HAVEN'T EVEN SEEN THE OCEAN!!! but im going this year on a cruise!!!! THE OCEAN IS MY SOUL! SAME WITH SHARKS =P

I was five when i first went on this ride, and of course my father insisted on making sure we sat right were jaws comes to the side of the boast at the end. Atfer that i refused to go on any other ride!
Was a fun ride!
wow i went to florida but i never got to go to universal studios. i would really like to go on that ride
the ride was entertaining lol,
but the fire at 2:54 you can feel it, its not like fake fire.
you can feel the heat and it kinda burns lol
especially if your sitting on the edge :/
I love this Ride I also wish i had a job like that
@HP148409 Its great especially if you love Jaws. All of the rides in Orlando are spectacular.
Even though it's fake, I still think I'd be terrified if I fell in.
Universal Studios does not have a lot of space to make new rides and keep old ones so something gotta give
lmao . I was small and didnt know anything! I was pissin my pants! xD haha
