WOW!!! The earlier black & white version of this fabulous painting was my first ever acrylic painting, in fact any painting at all since I left school nearly sixty years ago! I'd been given two little bottles of gesso in black and white and I hadn't a clue what it was for! So I just started trawling through videos on ''gesso' and somehow ended up with that video of yours... I was blown away, and immediately dismantled my breakfast serial box, painted a roughly A4 piece of it black, cut a bit off my bathroom sponge and borrowed a really awful brush out of my little grandson's poster paint set, poured a glass of wine and restarted the video brush at the ready and painted along!!! I was so pleased with myself that I posted it on my FB page (blame the wine!) and waited for the friendly ridicule! To my amazement, the main comments were ''It's great!'' and 'what is it called?' I'd no idea, so I left it up to them, and jokingly said I'd give it to the person with my favourite title. Got loads of good answers but there was one that stood out because it summed up what I'd been feeling about it myself...''Tranquility''. That little daub now takes pride of place in a lovely frame above her lounge fireplace. I will paint this because I love Autumn colours, and it will have a name... ''Tranquility in red and gold' or some other pompous riff on the original theme; or I think I'll just frame it and give it to the same friend as thanks for giving me the seeds of self belief that has led me into a fascinating world of Mixed Media, watercolours. and anything else art based that interests me; but it all started with a glass of wine, a cornflake box and you! Thank you
You are welcome! Thank you so much for your lovely comment and feedback. I truly appreciate it! I am happy to hear that you are enjoying your painting journey! Your resourcefulness is awesome....you even added a glass of wine! hehehe....a nice touch, IMHO! :) Tranquility is a great name for your painting and it has a loving home too! Bonus! Thanks for watching! Have a wonderful day!
@@StudioSilverCreek Oh, thank you for your beautiful reply... unexpected but truly precious to me. I have watched all your wonderful videos, attempted many of them with varying degrees of success, but learned many techniques in the process. Thank you again! :) :) :)
Really clever and beautiful.I'm feeling inspired to try my own version.I have to practice painting branches because I really love the way you paint them perfectly with one stroke.Thank you so much!😍
I finished watching the whole video. I'll try to do. I liked that part in black and white at the edges, gave the impression of the central path coloring the view of the observer.
Thank you for the tutorial! I made both the black version and the color version and learned a lesson about how to properly make a color wash for next time b/c I totally didn't see that part in the description - lol.. but I still love them both! :-)
Super!!! I was thinking if it's possible to paint using sponge (bc I was washing dishes at that very moment lol) and then as I searched, I saw this! ❤❤
That is beautiful! Probably the best enchanted forest I've seen yet🤣 I will be doing this one in turquoise and peacock blue. Many blessings to you always, Renee from Winchester, California. USA
@@StudioSilverCreek Got inspired by it so I'm currently tackling this one, I'm a very new hobby artist but it's tutorials like yours that makes it a lot easier :)

Stunning, once again. Looks like you just walk right into the painting and down the path. I really liked in in the black, grey and white.
