So I’m a high school student in fact my last year in school I got a test tomorrow and I’m watching this hopefully I can see my self in the future and remember the situation I was in 🫡
It'd be so kind of you if you make a video on exergy analysis.
Thanks a lot , very helpful
wow..now i know chemistry...why some reactions are possible while others arent
good way to understand
Do you have more videos about enthalpy and entropy?
how could a thing like this get just 787 likes?!
finally i got that.
Awesome
Sal, (or whoever is tasked with reading youtube comments at khanacademy) have you considered pairing these videos with "Periodic Videos" style demonstrations? Maybe you could cooperate with Brady and Professor Poliakoff and they could come up with some example reactions, and explain them in the context of these videos. E.g. it would be nice to see specific reactions with positive deltaH and deltaS or negative deltaH and deltaS.
so at equilibrium (forward rate equals reverse rate so the reaction is still moving in both directions) and delta G = 0, does this mean that the reaction is spontaneous in both directions? delta G = 0 means that the free energy of the reactants equals the free energy of the products so the probability for the reaction to move in both direction (spontaneously) is equal? Can someone please chime in?
At 6:33 you said that molecules will buzz past each other and showed delH
When the particles get close to each other they release some energy (since they are attracted to each other) but not enough to actually bond.
but we have said that when we increase the T the kinetic energy increases so the number of succesful collision increase hence the reaction rate increases but here he says that cause of the high T they will not have a good chance to form a reaction isnt that contradictory?
Can anyone pls tell why we call it Gibbs 'free' energy? why not just Gibbs energy? what is so free here?
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
😍😍😍😍😍
I have a test tomorrow and Thanks for saving my ass dude
Maria? haha I'm so happy that I could read those katakana. :)
My name would be something like エドアド.
I love listening to Sal, however , he is the only tutor that has never helped me.
@ 2:27 The reasoning behind each example is just ridiculous! Why doesn't he come up with a real example???
Just look at the equation for Gibbs free energy and move on as quickly as you can. It's a waste of time.
so happy! now i can understand biochemistry!
