I am going to share my story here. Please do read it guys.
I am 23 year old guy from India. I passed out of engineering school in 2017. Even after trying hard for an year I couldn't get a job. I was so alone, down and depressed. I had never been in a relationship with any girl by then. In June 2018 I met a girl online from Philippines. We clicked pretty well. We shared each other's picture. We started chatting on Hangouts almost every day for hours. I started sharing things about me with her. That time she also used to chat with another guy from India. I was fine with it cause I just wanted somebody to talk to me. We also used to talk over voice calls occasionally. But never had a video call. She wasn't ready for a video call. I was okay with it as I thought her to be a conservative girl.
She used to care for me. She gave me a lot of emotional support. She inspired me to do better things in my life. She considered my problems as her's. She also used to pray for me. She gave me advices when I had an interview. We fought sometimes but still got along very well. We turned from friends to bestfriends.
By the end of August 2018 I started having feelings for her. Her good morning message was enough to make me blush. Just her single message would make my day. A talk of other Indian guy used to make me jealous and uncomfortable. I started thinking about her all day long. I was head over heels for her. We guys developed a ritual of sending one romantic song to each other before we sleep. In the night we would say goodnight to each other at 12 am but end up talking till 4 am. I was so much into her. She also liked to talk to me and spend time with me. We shared all our secrets with each other. She was a religious girl and had a faith in god. Personally, I was not much religious guy. But she made me to believe in God. She made me to visit temple at least every week. I liked this thing about her. I even prayed for her. That was the most beautiful time of my life. Those days were so awesome that I can't express it in words. Days of being in love. I used to yearn for her touch, her smell. I imagined about our first meeting at the airport. I hugging her tightly, my tears of joy of finally being with her. Our first date, our first kiss, our marriage, our honeymoon, our first intimacy and our hybrid kids. I imagined everything with her.
Meanwhile in the September I started preparing for a government exam which would have landed me up in a good job. Everyday I used to study all day long in the library and in the night after dinner I would chat with her for an hour or two. Sometimes I used to emotionally blackmail her saying that if she didn't message me at 5 am sharp in the morning I would not eat my breakfast. And to my happiness she would send me a good morning message exactly at 5 am in the morning. I used to feel on cloud nine then. The feeling that she cares for me, I matter in her life would make me happy.
Then one fine day she told me that she was in love with that other Indian guy. They both had exchanged love letters. And oh my gosh, I was heartbroken. I couldn't imagine her to be with someone else. But I could sense from her talking that she was really in love with him. She cried for him. He didn't treat her well. She told me that I was good guy as I never made her cry. They had multiple breakups and patchups in the meantime. And here I was just floating around. I badly wanted to confess my love to her. But how could I if she was in love other guy? Her thoughts would stuck in my head all day long. It became hard for me to focus on my studies. I was unable to remember things I studied. Both things were of equal importance to me- she being with me and government exam as it was a question of my career and future. Neither I had a job nor a girl I loved. I cried a lot in the washroom of library where I used to study. I told her about my condition and asked for leaving Hangouts for a month. I messaged her telling that I would be back to Hangout after my exam. I deleted her profile from my Hangouts and left it. The first two days were extremely painful for me. I was kind of insecure about her. What if she forgot me? What would I do without her? I only had an email of her as a source of contact. I didn't have any other information about her. I was so intensely and passionately in love with her that it was hard for me to imagine my life without her. Two days after I leaving Hangouts she emailed me asking about my whereabouts and she promised me that she would always be there with me no matter what happens. I became so much happy after receiving her email. My all insecurities had been lost in the air. After that I could focus on my studies. We used to share emails every alternate day. I could give my hundred percent in an exam.
As exam got over, we started our chatting again. Just after ten days of my government exam I also got a job in a private company. She was extremely happy for me. By now the other Indian guy and she had a break up. I was happy but she wasn't. She was still in the phase of moving on. I helped her to get out of that.
Then one fine day while we were chatting she accidentally sent me a screenshot of her Instagram feed. That contained a photo of her she had earlier shown me. But to my surprise that wasn't her real photo. That was a photo of some famous Thai instagrammer girl. All those four months she hid herself in the mask of other girl. I was extremely shattered after knowing this. My bubble of imaginary world suddenly burst. I asked her for the reasons of hiding behind the mask. She told me that she never thought our friendship would last this long. She wanted to protect her identity as earlier she had a bad experience with other guys. Since then I have been persuing her to reveal her face. But she has been adamant. She doesn't want to reveal her face. And when I ask for the reasons she just talk about leaving me. She doesn't give rational reasons for being anonymous. We always fight a lot over this issue. But she doesn't want to reveal herself in front of me.
In December I told her about my feelings for her. She also liked me and started having feelings for me. In spite of all our fightings we also had some really good time together. But later the frequency of our fightings increased a lot. We started fighting almost every single day over the issue of her anonymity. Sometimes we are not on talking terms for a whole week. She got tired of my pestering to reveal her face. Now she ignores my messages.She has stopped saying I love you to me. She has developed a cold heart for me. But what about me? I am still in love with her. But she doesn't understand my feelings and how much my heart aches. Now I think even if I wrote a love letter with my blood, still she would be adamant on her decision. To tell you guys honestly, I only have got 20% love from her, rest 80% all I got is a pain and only pain. But still I am ready to bear that 80% pain for 20% love. I am a man but I am so much emotionally vulnerable. Men are supposed to be a strong. But I am not. I cry a lot for her. She has emotionally drained me a lot. Attachment really sucks.

I am super speechless upon reading your story.
Here are some of my point of views in your story, (I am from the Philippines BTW)
-Maybe she was not truly and really serious in her feelings for you, maybe she just sees you as someone that she can chat online.
If she really loves you, just as you said she did, she will reveal her true identity. Most Filipinas that I know are honest and loyal, but not all.
-Maybe she was so badly hurt from her past relationship that she just couldn't trust anyone anymore. Once a filipina got hurt, it will so be hard to win their trust back.
I hope you can still fix your relationship with her.
If two people are destined to be together, heaven and earth will bring them together no matter what.
