Mighty Man Camp made possible by Mighty Mom. Really Enjoyed seeing Meg doing the chores with baby on her back. She takes care of everyone even when everyone is not there. Also thanks Meg for taking way more time than necessary for some good shots while doing chores.
What a fun campout for the guys!!! Glad you all could make it this year!! I enjoyed Meg and Buggy's Girls Weekend too!!😘 Meg, you are a strong woman the way you carried all the feed buckets, gave the American Guinea hogs some pats on their backs for being good pigs, and moved those chicken tractors like they were easy peasy! Doing that all the while carrying Buggy on your back. You are an amazing woman!!! I got tickled at the little ball you pulled out of your work boots. I wonder how that got in there...hmmm Buggy🤗!!!!
That was my first thought. Doing all the chores with the baby on your back. 😁 What a great gift you gave your menfolk Meg - guy time with friends, a lot of father-son bonding, and memories that will last a lifetime. Great video as always. 🥰
Oh, the bonds formed over an open fire and the stars above! Those boys will carry this throughout their days. Meg rocks, as usual. May God continue to bless you all!
It's a wonderful thing you did going to camp. I'm sure it helped tremendously to make it happen at all right now. Good guy, Ben. And Meg kicked a$$ holding down the homestead with Buggy on board. Have really missed y'all and it's good to know you're doing well, still engaged in regular small acts of heroism.
🤗🤗🤗. Awesome video of what it takes for a manly weekend by a strong and capable woman and mom to not little boys but budding men and a husband supporting entire family as she knows just how to pack the food that’s needed to keep all full. And then strapping Lilly for all the chores just like second nature. That’s a woman to be proud of to call wife mom and a dear friend and I salute you as your editing skills can’t be beat by others. I’m really glad that dad got a chance to finally camp out with his sons. Especially his skills at the anvil and hammer. Being a glassworker I do know the heat to make things a work of art and I hope your sons learn those skills for a great future especially where you live cus there’s craftsmen everywhere to visit. Glad Justin was doing better getting to spend time with his own boys who have mastered a lot especially since his illness. Weekends like this makes dads look at sons differently realizing they’re no longer little anymore. You filmed just enough and then spent more quality time with friends and your boys and I bet they’re begging to do it again real soon which I hope you do. Wonderful video of real life and love and family. 👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Miss watching “Meg TV!” Can’t wait to have her back more! She was one of the first women that got me hooked on homemaking and backyard homesteading. 💪✌️
Evening Beautiful HH Family 🖐. Thanks for sharing another awesome video 👍👍. Mighty Man Camp making memories is priceless. Meg, you're truly a beautiful Momma/Wife and all around gitter done woman 👍👍👍. Looking forward to seeing more videos from y'all. Stay safe beautiful people. God Bless y'all and the homestead 🙏✌❤😊
mom handling chores with a hitchhiker on board and the sons learn to cook prepare and clean too and the biggest kids are the eldest ones with beards lol the woodworking and metal fabrication skills and tuition is always a hoot and daughters can also attend when old enough to want to
That was my FAVORITE video I've ever seen online 💗 Your trip should have been named "Flannels 'R Us." 😂 I love how differently men pack for camping. I loved Meg feeding animals with a baby on her back. And there is nothing more therapeutic than a fire with friends 👍
This is so great! None of the boys will ever forget doing this with their dads! Don't be surprised if some years from now they bring their sons to be camping with their grand dads!!! The cabin was cool, amazed it is still standing. Your girls did a great job taking care of the homestead, that must make you really proud. Won't be long and you dads are going to have to come up with some daddy, daughter traditions...just sayin! Looks like you all had a great time, and made some really wonderful memories! God bless!
Why is food from the grill/open fire so much better? Maybe it's because we are outdoors, our original habitat. So many people are now trapped in "cement jungles" and we crave getting back to nature since it is where we originally came from. I escaped the jungle about ten years ago and retired to the Mts of NC to finish life doing Gospel music videos for that very reason. Heaven! Meg, your videos never disappoint. All the camera angles that go in to how you present your "story" are just wonderful. No one but other editors probably notice this or realize what all goes into making them "flow", they just know you make good vids! I very much enjoy them and your family dynamic.
BirdYoumans! Good to see you on one of my favourite channels. I often watch your yt music channel, you make wonderful music! Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent & keeping the classic style of gospel music alive for so many of us. 👍 😍
We love to cook over the open fire, then Someone comes along and says it's not good for us. Why is that when you love something, it always ends up someone poo poos it ???

What a great weekend for fathers and sons! Also for all the young men (sons) all meeting up and having a great camping time with their dads and the other boys from the families. You can see they have enjoyed themselves. Lovely time had by all. Great to see Jason come and join Ben and Justin. Good to see all of the men together from my favourite channels.
It’s so nice to see Mamas who wear their babies and ignore the calls of “You will spoil them that way”. No, my child will feel loved, supported and safe. I’m glad the “Boys” had fun too! ☮️❤️-Kirsten
What fun for you, Justin and the boys. Making wonderful memories for those sweet boys. How nice Jason came out for the day to join in the fun. Thanks for sharing your Mighty Man Camp with all of us. Meg and Buggy did a super job making sure the homestead chores got done while ya'll were camping.
I just love watching Megan doing her chores with that lovely bundle of joy wrapped around her back….beautiful to watch you Meg….always love watching Ben and Justin together in a video…..
Just look at how fantastic Meg looks after having FIVE children!!! Amazing! Love Meg so much! She is an amazing woman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just ook at how she managed to put baby Lilly on her back in the pouch - by herself !!! and then do all the chores. SUPER WOMAN!
Love the guys (Dads) ALL wearing the Justin Rhodes homestead plaid shirts. Don't get better than Man Camp. Thanks to the Mommas, couldn't do without y'all. ❤
I enjoyed watching Meg do the chores. That’s how it is on my homestead. My husband works long hours and I’m the farmer. Every day I take the kids with me and we feed the animals and tend the garden. Farming is hard work but one of my greatest joys.❤️
This is a great way to see you all again. I am happy that you are all oke!! THANK YOU for getting use into your live. Meg I think you show them a lot off love, because you do all the chores this weekend. G'D BLESS and greetings from Inge Noordam (The Netherlands/Europe)
I think that is great that you dad’s took your boys out for a manly weekend. It builds father and son relationships and friendships. Y’all are making great fun memories with your boys. You teach them throughout the year on responsibilities in everyday living on a homestead, so yes you have to balance that with guy time to have fun. That’s what real fathers do in helping to raise well balanced boys who will grow up to be well balanced responsible men.
What a great time for all you boys. You don't have to curse, spit and drink copious amounts of beer to be a man. You boys are what a man should be. Provider, protector, loving and kind. Meg will be happy to have all you boys back home to give her a hand with the chores.
In my day growing up in the 'burbs' (don't ask how long ago. I threw the calendars out years ago) we had Boy Scouts. Lots of camping, hiking, projects, etc. Us kids would run around, play, make stuff, cut stuff, try to cook stuff (burn a lot of stuff) all under the watchful eye of the fathers who volunteered. My father was one of them. At one point I had an 'ah-ha' moment watching my Dad interact with the other kids and fathers (you know, not just with family ). I was able to observe his empathy I had just simply taken for granted being shown to the others. It was the moment when he became not just my father, but a real person - as strange as that might sound. I told him about this years later and we both had a good cry over it.
Just a tip for cooking things like sausage on an open fire so you don't burn it... Steam cook it before you take it camping then when you get there it is cooked and you just heat it up and add the outdoor flavor. I do this with chicken and all meats that must be cooked through that I do not want to burn. It works great!
Great tips. I have cooked on open grills my entire 59 yrs of life, and I have found that it just takes learning how to manage the heat, just like indoor cooking. For those that have less experience, your tip is a great one.
I add a little water to the pan of sausage Patties lid it until I think the Patties are cooked through...then remove lid and let continue to cook till browned.
So good to see all of you having a good time and clearly thriving. Hoping that, as autumn sets in and the garden demands less, that we may see more of the Hollar Homestead. Missed you this busy summer season!
So glad Ben got to come to mighty man camp this year. Yall are making such great memories for your young men that they will never forget! This is what life is all about.
Meg, like so many others, can do what men do! I am glad the "men" got to spend a weekend camping and had a great time, that is a great bonding time for sure! But just saying.. go Meg!
I remember taking my children camping when they were younger . Their dad was not much of a camper but he made the best of it . The boys and I loved it . I miss those days . Enjoy it while you can .

Great way to make precious memories with your children!!! We camped with our kids all the time as They grew up. They are all adults now and do the same now with their own kids. We sit and reminisce about those times very often!
The Rhodes Homestead is like a little slice of Heaven on earth. Its a amazing piece of land, just seeing bits and pieces of it on video, so I can just imagine how beautiful it is seeing it in person. To have both the creek that runs thru their Homestead right near the house, is really neat in itself, let alone having that lake on their land, is just amazing.

Meg, that was so funny when you found the ball in your boot. I only check for spiders - HA! Ben, loved the final shot of all the boys on the pier, what memories.
Great camera wrk, especially Meg with all the pre-planned spots then retracing her steps with extra baby weight. What I'm wondering is what can't b shown on Utube these days?
So cool to take the kids camping. It just isn't summer with out a camping trip. Brings back the memories. My folks use to take us to state parks every summer for a weeks vacation. Rain or shine we ruffed it. We went out about 4 times in the summers. Dude you need a lesson on cooking over an open fire. Cook over hot ashes not flames!!! Your burning the meat. Mom you amaze me with all the chores and a one year old strapped to your back.
Oh Meg, that could've been me a couple of decades ago with my girl riding on my back while doing chores. As it happens, she only rode to the grocery store and back. Oh man camp looked fun, again too.😉👍

Great camera wrk, especially Meg with all the pre-planned spots then retracing her steps with extra baby weight. What I'm wondering is what can't b shown on Utube these days?
The potato is the king of vegetables.
Oh yeah!!!
Food looked so good. Fun looked way fun. Megan and Bug looked so peaceful. Have a good upcoming weekend my Hollars.
I think what is important is passing on values to your kids. You and Justin doing this in abundance. Well done. proud of you all.
Oh Meg, that could've been me a couple of decades ago with my girl riding on my back while doing chores. As it happens, she only rode to the grocery store and back.
Oh man camp looked fun, again too.😉👍
What fun, and Meh outdid herself setting the camera for all those shots. Hope she got a good rest with Buggy after all the chores
