Okay so I really have almost zero interest in any girl groups, I usually just find them annoying and haven't found any I like. I've heard the name Mamamoo before but never really looked into them. When haters said Mamamoo "only" sings well because they have "easy" choreographies, they came THROUGH with this BOMB choreo! Stan Mamamoo.
They sing well because they are incredibly talented singers and didn't really need to prove that they can dance because when they get older they will still be able to sing while other "visual" groups will fade away.
Of course they're amazing singers, but this song doesn't showcase a lot their vocals so I wouldn't say this is a good example.
I'm not act like I see comments criticizing them for being able to only sing since I don't look at many comment sections outside of UA-cam. However that's an extremely weak argument from their haters. I get that Kpop idols are more than just singers, but we can all name a few boy & girl groups that are only mashed up together because of their looks. The fact that Mamamoo is overall vocally talented makes people more likely to buy their music, and see them perform live. When I'm spending my hard earned money I want live vocals more than I want flashy dance moves.
Yes. Haters have unrealistic expectations. Mamamoo with this song is balancing vocals and choreography without having to lipsynch. Whereas some groups go for complex choreography and lipsync for half the song. Sorry to say, but an artist has to find the balance, and I think Mamamoo is very conscious of that. You can't do five backflips in the air and hit a Whitney Houston high note. You'd run out of air and pass out.

You can also check Red velvet’s dances like Power up, Russian roulette which are all choreographed by Kyle Hanagami. Those dances are specifically unique and memorable

I’m not a moomoo but these women are seriously all-rounders. They can dance, sing, have stage presence, and although Wheein and Solar are not considered rappers, they have the potential to become one. This group is seriously underrated.

The fact that they only had a week to learn this choreo is insane. I mean they used to learn regular choreo at least for a month, this time they mastered this hard level choreo in a week. I can feel their hard work & passion through their dance. Solar said they almost lost their minds, but they are happy & proud because moomoos love it.
