I got my R7 about 4 days ago and had all of the information to tether the radio to my computer but one thing I do not have on my radio is Wi-Fi I have Bluetooth but I do not have Wi-Fi I have the UHF model I tried to do what you showed in the video but my radio did not look for updates. Is that something I should just do when I hook it up when I'm reading and writing to the radio
If you'd set up a hot spot on a computer that was VPN'd to Canada, would you then get an R7 with AES as an option where it is legal for businesses to use?
@@Evan-el2nd That's what i thought but doesn't hurt to ask all of my radios are kept on 16.0 i really want a r7 but I'm 13 and that's not going to happen for a while
How can you change the audio output? From radio speaker, mic, to Bluetooth? It's connected but the sound goes through the speaker or mic. Thanks.

If you have a wifi router, you could change the setting in it.

@@KQ4LNZ I don't blame you for sticking with 16.0. So much easier to navigate then 2.0 and above.
@@Evan-el2nd Yes i love the 16.0 for my 7550e and i use that foe my schools bus repeater and school simplex frequency's
