- Tragic Details About David Allan Coe (UNSEEN FOOTAGE)
David Allan Coe is a legendary country music singer-songwriter known for his outlaw persona and raw, authentic style. With hits like "You Never Even Called Me by My Name" and "The Ride," Coe's music blends storytelling with a rebellious edge. His career, marked by both controversy and critical acclaim, has solidified his place as a key figure in the country music scene.
There's a difference between a black man and the n word. I am a black man and if you're a black man you know the difference. I love David Allan coe. You got to respect his honesty
Speak for yourself.Any use of slurs is not acceptable on any levels.
Damn right..... it's attitude not color this is the bull shit dividing our country.
100% true , I’ve always said that , Iva also always said that they come in every race. When I first started going to prison I was being schooled and told that I would hate them , I said no I’m not prejudice . Then I hit Chino and got my taste of the hate that was shown to me , they tried to walk all over me and thought that white people were scared of them . I had to show them they were wrong . Anyways I know a lot of cool black people and there’s a lot of those that deserve the N word that I’ve ran across fucked up people come in all races
You get it!!! People today are so sensitive....

Puzzling concept there.
@@kissfox5 I can respect a man that does not allow social and public perceptions dictate him. Doesn't hate totals, prefers a more personal relationship. Even though he used the "N" Word, he had a lot of black friends throughout his life.

One of my favorite movies is "Blazing Saddles" and it is viewed as racist by this new generation who are too ignorant to understand it was MAKING FUN of racism. Take This Job and Shove It" is a 1977 country music song written by David Allan Coe and popularized by Johnny Paycheck, about the bitterness of a man who has worked long and hard with no apparent reward. The song was first recorded by Paycheck on his album also titled Take This Job and Shove It.
That's awesome wow
Also the punk band The Dead Kennedys
@@joeoak7090it's literally a copy and paste from the first thing that pops up when you search the song.
I'm born and raised in Nashville Tennessee. Country music ain't country music no more. But this is the seed of my youth. Love it
Amen to that my friend..
I was in Tractor Supply just this week, and of course they continually pipe in “country” music so-called. It’s terrible, a terrible excuse for those that have gone before. All those stupid clicks, superficial illusions to rural life the singers seem to know nothing about. As for DAC, he’s over the edge, and needs salvation in Christ.
Yup, you are correct, between Live Nation and the Nashville executives they even control what hires guns are paid. Not well, and hired guns was always mainstream in country music. You didn't get band. You got a person. The musicians were mostly studio musicians and the touring musicians were3 paid by the show.
Country music is alive and well. It's just not in Nashville. Texas, Oklahoma and Kentucky is where it's at. The jews of your city think jelly roll is country 😅
Video ends with statement -".... even though D. A. C. is no longer with us.". Do your homework, thankfully he is alive and well!!

I saw David twice in Wichita,he put on great concerts both times. The second time he performed,he played one of his X rated songs, and that was the last time he came here.I was surprised how good he and his band was.
Warren Haynes was his guitar player for years before Haynes joined the Allman Brothers Band.
DAC is still a member of the Outlaws MC in good standing!
Do your homework. Everyone who knows anything about Coe knows he wrote take this job and shove it and many more great sons. Watch reactions to his songs on here

Ya know, I saw "David Allen Coe" in concert at his first concert ever in the State of California, and one of his Roadie's was a Black Man, so the title of this article is "Bullshit" 🎶🎼🎵🎸
David is one of the greatest singer song writers to ever live. His X tapes were some of the funniest songs ever recorded. They don't make them like Coe anymore.

I tried to see him in Panama City Beach at a beach bar called sharkys. Unfortunately he was way to F-up to play. People were pissed. They ended up giving everyone free drinks to compensate them for DAC not being able to perform. I still had a good time!!
Wish they would make a movie about him. This documentary was fire. I wish we had more David Allan Coes in this world.

As a kid, David Allen Coe lived in a house in Whistler, Ohio a little village in Pickaway County. Just by chance, my first husband and I rented it in 1993 and lived there for about a year. My favorite song of his is The Ride that he wrote about Hank Sr.
He didn't write that song.
David Allen Coe I love his music , and unique personality ❤I was drunk the day my mamma got out of prison , I went to pick her up in the rain , before I could get to the station in my pickup truck ,she got run over by a damned old train . Connection between metal and country? There is none besides ppl deciding to mix those genres together in the last 20 years. If this was the 80s or 90s nobody would say there was a connection. Its like saying pop and classical got something in common. Two different worlds.

I can accept Dave's intentions expressing racial views with explicit terms . However I do have a problem , when some of his fans ignorantly use these terms for their own derogatory intentions.
I know of an incident, when a bar patron played a certain DAC song - because a black customer arrived . This was a purposeful act , and not incidental .
An age old question arises - Does an artist reflect or influence a society ?

We used to book him in the theatre just for the beer sales. No joke, he couldn't sell out the 2500 seat venue but he isn't that expensive to book. Maybe 15 or 20 grand. Could be less if you have an adequate audio and lighting system in the venue and don't have to rent any gear for them. He could sell between 900 and maybe 1200. We would make enough money to pay the bills and the band out of the tickets sales but they would sell a helluva lot of beer. When he plays at the theatre the beer distributor would just park a fridge trailer in the alley that runs to backstage. Massive beer sales. 1000 biker types can slam a helluva lot of beer down in 2 hrs time.

If a person fudges their history as a prisoner, claiming time on death row, would they be guilty of “stolen valor,” or merely perhaps “purloined malice” or something?
I have to give D.A.C. credit for a willingness to present himself physically in many guises, attires, styles, modes and get-ups. In this, on his stage, as a more “out there” Willie Nelson in unkept long hair and beards, Coe opened up the world of individual expression to fans, friends and foes alike. As a person who has struggled all my life with simply being myself, following my “Different Drummer, my Thoreau and e.e. cummins self-identity, I admire and am heartened by David Allen Cow’s hiking of a path largely untrodden by the masses.
If you can’t be yourself, and everyone else is taken, who are you and who can you be??
DAC is in the entertainment industry. He entertains and some of his stories are just that...entertainment and not necessarily factual. It's part of the business.
" purloined malice " 😅
Didn't he make Linda Lovelace Gag? 😂

The narrator is probably A.i.
I met D.A.C. back in 2015 when my bro Wayne Davis played lead guitar for him.Dont get me wrong ,he made some great songs but Wayne eventually had to chase him across 2 states to get paid because "The Rhinestone Cowboy" took off & didn't want to pay anybody.Thats why his band is constantly changing
That's not uncommon for DAC. As a former Bus Driver for Coe from 1986 to 1989. It was very co.mon to go 3 to 6 weeks without getting paid by him. Until the one night in Dallas, Texas. During a show DAC lost both Busses and both Semi Trucks to a Repossession. And half the Band and nearly all the Road crew left as well. I am still owed 3 months Pay, from 1989.
