@@donovandick7163 facing the audience, I mean it was from the outside just another show but BEING there was next level. I marketed live events on London’s equivalent to broadway and honestly this was up there. Then they hung out at the end which you obviously don’t get online which makes it notable. Luke texted Eric nicksick to see his hog lol thanks to the wheel of death. That was very funny.

This shit is so tired and unoriginal. Definitely the flavor of the week for people fishing for likes. You dont need dana white to give you a reach around to get excited for ufc 284. Its a top heavy card and the ufc are promoting it like any other ppv get over it.

I think Volk has a point. He can became one of the greatest if beats Islam. If don’t, he can still beat senseless most of his division, earn big money, then retire before the new blood comes up.

Look with all due respect, even as a long time analyst of MMA and techniques I do believe that Luke seriously underestimates how difficult it is to defend wrestling PLUS judo against a guy whose musculature has developed over 25 years to apply force with a complex understanding of the manipulation of center of gravity of a person's body.
Max Holloway never bulked up volkanovski has with perfect preparation as well so comparing the 2 is a whole lot different at this point.

Trying to beat Khabib and Islam in their prime is tough. I do believe that those who counter wrestle offensively have a better chance of success. Those who did have shown better resistance than those who tried to only defend takedowns. But all have still lost.

Usman's two title defenses against Masvidal were extremely weak considering that he could have fought other contenders but fought Colby twice and Burns, a former sparring partner. Adesanya has mostly had friendly sparring sessions... Islam's fights are one sided against the future top contenders, so he deserves to be ranked extremely high. Gotta blame the UFC for favoring fighters and protecting the biggest names at 155 from Islam...

Volkanovski has Holloway x3, we don't even need to go into his other accomplishments, that alone is a feat Islam hasn't even come close to touching.
Plus him, Kamaru, and Izzy have also actually defended their titles against contenders in their actual weight class multiple times, another thing Islam hasn't done.

Aldo moved down to 135 several years ago before retirement and Chad Mendez retired several years ago, which confirms how stupid all the people are that say he has cleaned out the division when he only has win over 3 ranked opponents out of the top 15... Thought Adesanya lost to Romero and Whittaker in the rematch, not to mention his friendly sparring sessions against Romero, Jan, Vettori 2, Whittaker 2, and the Jared fight... As I said earlier, Usman fought Masvidal and Colby twice when they didn't deserve it even though I thought Colby won the rematch... Usman could have fought other contenders that were on longer winning streaks but didn't.

I like watching Yair and his fight this weekend is a great fight but i do question how highly everyone seems to rate him. In his last 5 fights he got beat by Egdar. Was getting comfortably beat by Zombie before the 1 in a million amazing last minute KO. He beat Stephens well in a good fight but stephens has lost god knows how many of his last 10 fights. He then got beat by Holloway even though he fought well but people have started to wonder if Max is on the slide since and then he got the win because of the Ortega injury. I like Yair but just always feel he has to show more for the level of hype he has. Without the 1 in a million shot v zombie he is 2-3 going in to this fight with one of the wins being oppos shoulder popping.
Great fight over the weekend though. Think Volk is safe against any of the winners though.

P4p in the UFC is so goofy - there's literally no consistent metric for how its evaluated. Is it whoever can beat whoever? Then its the current heavyweight champ. Is it based on accomplishment? Jones ain't going anywhere then. Is it about who's skill would be superior if weight/power could be balanced? Thats pretty much impossible to quantify, and Yan, Volkanovski, Moreno, and Kamaru have a solid case
As much as I don't like Mahachev, if he does beat Volk and 2 more good opponents, he will surpass Khabib. Khabib most notable wins are Dustin, Justin, Conor, and Barboza.
All of them are good, but Islam came up fighting the new gen, and they are better fighters overall compared to Khabib competition.
Arman alone would beat Khabib past opponents. 29-0 in impressive, but against who was that 29 wins?
Also, Olivera destroyed most of Khabib top opponents except Conor.
