Advice for anyone about to watch: This is a tutorial for people in the middle stage of beginning. If this is the first unity tutorial you’re going to watch I wouldn’t recommend it. Instead I recommend watching Brackey’s c# tutorial and making your first game tutorial (and even a few of his 2D tutorials but they’re not really necessary) and then coming back to this. If you keep watching you’re going to see a lot of people complaining that it’s not beginner friendly. It is beginner friendly just not for their stage of beginning. So watch the 2 Brackey’s tutorials then come back and watch this. It’ll help your unity skills greatly. Good luck and don’t give up, no matter how hard it gets.
YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING! I've been needing to know this for months. This is easily my favourite UA-cam channel of all time just because of how clear and easy to understand your explanations are.
@@Blackthornprod i'm a kid who wants to learn how to be a Developer so this realy helped. If you have some tricks can you share it to me? i've got to go bai
@@cabbagerat5645 just Google: C# Unity Beginners Course. Ok sure it its 4 hours but in the end it will be worth it. (i know because I am a kid that wanted to be a developer then took that course and BOOM I know how to develop games :))
Finally! A game worth putting on my phone! If you can get access to cloud, add usermade levels and an editor. Should be a fun paid bonus thing or so...
Just a clarification that the SDK installation does not happen during Android Studio installation. It happens when you run Android Studio for the first time after installing it.
I just finished watching your Devlog/The dreadful whispers series and i honestly love this channel soo much! Im not into coding yet cuz i cant really afford a nice computer although your videos inspire me everyday! Keep up the good work 💗💻
I’d recommend watching Brackey’s C# tutorial and unity for beginner tutorial. They’re great: guiding you through unity from downloading it to finishing your first game
@@BananaWasTaken yeah I did, I followed some tutorials from Brackeys and made my first clone game out of it in Unity. That gave me a decent idea about unity game dev in the last few months. I'm planning to begin working on a new game of my own soon. Thanks for putting our this comment so that many others get benefitted from this👍
Getting into Unity was daunting for me, I am a jr. software dev in app development. But I haven't used unity or coded games before. I know C#, but this Tutorial Series is so well explained, that I will be starting to code my android game now. Thank you!
No, man no how you did it I try to build a mobile game already 4 months (I learn in unity 5 months) I saw many tutorials but It doesn't works and you have 1 video and boom works. Thanks really. :)
I really love the energy of this tutorial and was hoping to get a lot out of it, but I feel like it skipped a few steps right in the beginning. For example, they show how to get the iOS and Android platforms setup, but then jump into a project that already has existing assets. I think that whenever making a Beginner tutorial, you should always start from scratch with nothing existing. It could also be helpful if there was a link to download the source code for the project they started with so we could at least try to see what kind of objects were used a try to reverse enginer it ourselves.
This is awesome! Started Android development 2 weeks ago and this video would have been really helpful. Keep it up, I am looking forward to see more of this series!
I know this is three years late and theres a chance noone sees this but if any "ios device" isnt showing up for you try using a usb 2.0 instead of usb 3.0 not sure why this is a thing but I found the solution on google and it worked for me.
For the android folks having issues, ensure the USB cable is plugged directly to the motherboard USB, not into the front of your PC. You will see a confirmation when its correct about an RSA key. Save everything, restart your apps, and try it again. I also did not do anything with the SDK. I'm on Unity 19.3 currently.
if "any ios device" doesnt pop up under the"devices" tab you just have to plug your ios device in while running unity while having the remote app open.
Hi Guys. Well, I'm stumped. I am on a PC, have iTunes installed and running, have a Unity project with build setting set to iOS, have my phone connected and Unity Remote installed and running. But when I go to Project Settings and try to select 'Any iOS Device' it isn't there. Only 'Any Android Device'. Can you help at all thanks. Really appreciated if you can.
If you don't see the "Any IOS Device"; 1) unplug your phone and plug it back in 2) go to (Edit > Preferences > External Tools, and make the "Automatically Sign" on)
Great tutorial as usual you just always keep surprising me with your great idea, I just had hope that in the future you can make a tutorial about 2d character control that uses rigidbody and also can handle slopes, ledge climbing like in the game limbo.
When creating the project initially, do you select 2d or 3d? When I made the initial project, I selected 2D and a lot of things don't seem to be working as they are supposed to. Also does this app scale across all screen sizes?
To me I use the sdk from the unity. And if you set everything but still not working/not detecting your android phone means you need to install the adb usb driver to your computer.
Eyy lets goo :D
