I think I understand why he won 10,000$ because when all is said and done he put In about 10.000$ in bets before he won although he side was steady around 2,000$ for the majority of the time - he would bet continuously everything that he would win which ended up being about 5 series of winning and losing 2,000$ in bets - so the machine itself ultimately registers that somebody had put in 10,000$ in bets and it was time to pay-back , irregardless if the majority of the bets were what they already handed back to him.
