I couldn't stand Guy all the way up until he actually fell in love with Caroline. Even then I was thinking it served him right to fall in love with her when she was in love with Mac. I did start to sympathize for him. Now when I watch these scenes again I just think, wow, Stephen looks like a good kisser!
I always liked Guy better then Mac anyway. Mac is so emotionally sterile and actually an asshole even though he doesn't wear it on his sleeve like Guy. He's quieter so people are like daww he's a sweetie. He's not. He's hurt Car many times. But the biggest thing is she had so much more chemistry with Guy. She and Mac are just awkward.
All I can say is Caroline is a lucky lucky lady. Mac and Guy are both awesome! Tamsin Greig must have had such a hard time filming these kind of scenes. :D
I know this show is old and I'm really late to the party, but I'm team guy all the way. Once Guy decided he loved Caroline, he dove in head first. Mac did a lot of faffing about, and that insult about her eyebrows later in the episode really turned me off to him. Plus Guy's tiny detaled looks of longing at Caroline just melt my heart.

I totally agree with fr1day5ch1ld Guy is just a quick-fix who happens to be there at the right times. Mac's the guy she really loves which is why he can't die!

The kisses are fab! It was so right that Caroline got to sample Guy as well as Mac.

As much as I love Guy for his kind heart, Mac is hotter ;-)
