The stars and planets aligned when Angelina Jordan was born.
The journey of an artist can indeed be profoundly affected by their socioeconomic background. Angelina Jordan's financial stability has arguably given her the freedom to explore and express her creativity without the immediate pressure of financial survival. The most profound individual in AJ’s life, according to her, is her grandmother, Mery Zamani, artist/poet extraordinaire who’s knowledge, wealth and genius have tutored AJ, and cultivated her unbelievable talent. This is a luxury not afforded to all artists, and the music industry is replete with stories of immensely talented individuals who have faced immense pressure to succeed financially. This pressure can sometimes lead to a tragic struggle with substance abuse, as seen in the cases of Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse. Their legacies serve as a stark reminder of the potential consequences of the immense pressures of fame and success in the music industry. It's a complex tapestry where talent, personal circumstances, and external pressures interweave to shape an artist's career and personal life. (CopyRight)

Angelina a very talented artist in her younger years, now the worldclass artist blossoms in front of you in making music 🎶
Her next performance is announced 20. May in London at the famous palladium with Toby Gad ❤

Nice reaction! Her Grandma, Mery Zamani, helped produced this. She used the same store (Melrose Gallery in L.A.) she used for her My Funny Valentine and I Have Nothing videos. Her sister Juliette was the older girl and the 2 younger girls are her Uncle Mike's kids, Aires and Athena. 2- time Grammy winner Rob Christie is on piano once again. He is also the music director of Republic Records, the music company she is signed with. The beehive hairstyle was to honor Priscilla Presley and the time period she met Elvis. The black suit and red guitar was a classic look for Elvis from his comeback concert. What a performance and homage to The King!

I was a senior in high school when Elvis covered this mark James song. It was his last number one hit. I never really connected with it and didn’t care for all of the repetition towards the finish. Angelina focused on the story the song is about and started with the emotional break instead of the pounding beat of the song. Back in 1969 the British Invasion was already winding down, so Elvis was playing to adults with their own families by then. He sang the heck out of this, but Angelina emoted the heck out of it

Thank you Ron...wonderful reaction. Let's face it, anyone could do a cover of this original song and try to do it like Elvis. The brilliance of Angelina is NO, I can re-create this song into and entirely different version and make it new and different, and here we have it, a new "old' song that no one before her even considered doing. Must of us already know she is a music genius and have accepted that. Cheers Ron, stay well. 🥰🥰

Angelina's interpretations always fit the story that is told in a song. In this case the theme is serious, sometimes tragic one of jealousy it a relationship. So the serious, pleading tone is more fitting than the upbeat pop arrangement that Elvis did. I think those innocent children signify the real victims when there's jealousy in a marriage

My interpretation of the symbolism of this music video: First, and foremost; Angelina Jordan at 16 is the epitome of a Storytelling ARTIST, and she has the ability to take us by the hand and lead us down an imaginary path that we visualize as reality. The remarkable fact is that we experience this in each of her performances. In this video we see her as a married woman in her mid to late 20s. As the video starts out, we see dishes, and it is a symbol of a home. As AJ sings the phrase “Were caught in a trap, I can’t walk out” we see 3 small children, this to me is a marriage where the children come first. If it were AJ by herself, she would not stay in a relation without trust. ©

Beautiful reaction, thanks Ron. From the very first words, the warmth, tone, passion and sweetness that Angelina manages to instill in this mythical song are truly incredible, you just wish the song was much longer. Her phrasing, backed by her wonderful use of breath and her peculiar jazz tone, always fascinates me and gives me chills every time, I love this absolutely amazing, so personal rewrite of this iconic song, with so many Elvis tribute details. Now it's a different song, but it's also the same, it still has that harmony, but somehow (in a way only Angelina can process) it's even more emotional, it's slower, but it's so close to your soul flow that kidnaps you. 💛🧡❤

Ron, I think Angelina was offering us a seat, by uncovering the chair, and reflecting back in time, by uncovering the mirror. I have learned to never underestimate the level of art when it comes to Angelina and her grandmother, Mery. Great art has infinite interpretations. Each person is welcome to their own. This music video exceeded 6 million views today in less than 23 months.

It is an antique shop!😊Located close to where she lives! She has used the location for 3 of her videos. I have heard 2 different stories- one is that the owners are friends of her family; the other is that her Grandmother Mery is the actual owner!

My second comment here! I enjoyed your reaction and as always, I enjoy listening to Angelina! For many, many years (59 to be exact) I did not think anyone would ever replace Elvis in my life! Then I saw and heard little Angelina Jordan 10 years ago. Since that night I have listened to almost no one but her! And this song in particular was one of my favorite Elvis songs! But he nor no one else has ever sung it with the beauty, the emotion, and the meaning that Angelina did!
