Telling the police over and over is free and they take action. I ve been back to the place where I was mugged over and over and walking on my own. Then I ll go with my bike as 2 lots of fools tried to steal it. I keep walking. I m learning martial arts. Secondary trauma is real. I prefer to learn a new skill and push myself to take action. Talking irritates me. You have to go to the trauma feeling in the body, locate it and label it and then breathe through it using the square breathing - 4 counts in and 6-8 breathes longer calms the body which works to calm the body and heart rate

Parents are the problem with children as parents cannot tolerate seeing their child’s anxiety

Sadistic as hell. Remember the horror over and over and over. Gimme a break! Newest and most dangerous new gimmick. In the 60s there was EST, Rolfing, Sweat Lodges....now we have the “Follow my finger” and face tapping people and others. This is the new money making gimmick being flogged to the VA and others. Newest BS
treatments. This one seems to be one of the most dangerous. “My cut hurts”. “Cut yourself again.” And again. And again.
Thunder chair? Any person in that room would be in severe danger. Send me back there to Vietnam, and I would end up in jail. PTSD keeps me safe.

I'm sorry you feel this way. The VA loses money on ET, not the other way around.. Nevertheless, ET has helped countless vets take back control of their trauma and their mind by disarming it through ET. Think of it like a child learning to swim, it might be hard and frightening at first, but it's not long before confidence is instilled through control of yourself in the water.
Lastly, the reason this is so successful is because it doesn't avoid the issue. You and I both know that positive change cannot take place unless there is adversity.

PTSD does not actually keep you safe, the prolonged stressful experiences cause so much damage physiologically , I know from mass experience, self as well as guiding clients to a new way of life.
I don't do exposure though, we do it way cooler, faster, and funner!
