Carapax looks like a Halo armor. Also on the Blue Beetle with the wings, perhaps McFarlane should have molded the pincers onto the backpack rather than as part of the actual wings
I'm with you. My fingers are crossed the movie will turn out to be really good and do well too! DC could really use a win. This could be their Spider-Man if they played it right. And, it has a good lead actor for this one. :) Thanks for your the look at the figures. I have to say some these are pretty tempting.
I just ordered Carapax, totally my mecha style. I really thought there was a new Pacific Rim movie when I saw the preview for it. Might get a movie Blue Beetle eventually. Great review.
I have both versions, they came today. Their freaking awesome and both left arms come off so i have ultimate battlemode and im using a hasbro figure stand. Im planning to put him with my Teen Titans because to me he would work well with them.
That text on the statue base threw me too, its very poorly done. I will pick one of these up, wish the statue could fit the DC base without being on that plastic cube bit -- i really hate that text. Also odd that the back pack doesn't have the mandible/pincers on it, you have to have the wings for that (which are way to big for my display). And then no flying base is super odd as well. Great options with those fingers though!!!

How about 7 figures? 6 with BAF pieces and a larger $60 figure? All companies are looking to make a buck. I’d say def wait, maybe they’ll do an all inclusive one and then you jump on it.
I was super worried the pincers would be attached to the wings. The pincers are part of his costume. Not just when his wings are out. Super disappointing. McFarlane continues to overlook very simple things.

I wish one of them came with an alternate Jaime Reyes head just so the figures could look a little more different outside just the wings
