I purchased in lehigh 2 yrs ago from Tampa looking at these videos I was terrified but I have had no issues love it here ..The job market may not be good but I work at home been on my job 15yrs and my husband is in construction so Win the same house we paid 160 for here would have been about 400k in Tampa I love it here We have Alarm and Guns but honestly I’m home all day and Not 1 issue
I recently moved to the Buckingham area of Lehigh. From his videos I see it’s where he moved from. So far I really like it, only 25 minutes from downtown. And It’s really quiet here. Im from NYC, I’m kind of tired of all the excitement. I find fun going downtown just eating and walking around. It’s something new for me. I feel like I will have no issues here, I have friends who live in Miami and west palm. And honestly the hoods look a lot more dangerous from what I see.
Left Miami 6 years ago. Been in Lehigh since. Son was in middle school. Played sports now a marine. No drugs no stealing no drama. The infrastructure is crap and wont support growing population. But other issues are a problem everywhere. Im a 48 state trucker. Its EVERYWHERE.
I teach at Lehigh Acres Senior High School....it is not "out of control". I have been teaching for 20 years, and these are some of the nicest and most well-meaning kids I have ever taught. Yes, some of them are a little rough around the edges, but once they see that you care about them, they are amazing. I live 40 minutes away and will continue making this drive daily so that I can work with these kids in this area. Everyone's experiences are different, and maybe the gentleman that made this video had a different one. This isn't meant to invalidate or challenge what he said, just letting you know that neighborhoods are more than a few statistics.
Agreed! As someone who grew up in the area and worked in Lehigh there is no way you would get me to move there. I payed hundreds more a month to live someplace else rather than live there. It's not like it's rural country living. it's a bunch of overgrown lots with nothing to offer.
I have found out Lehigh Acres was the dumping ground for areas gentrified in fort Myers and Naples. No jobs in the town. No restaurants no fun nothing to speak of. And it’s so dark at night it’s scary.
You really don’t sound too smart. It sounds like you want to live in a city or town but still ride your four wheeler around without getting caught Lehigh acres is not a town,😊it’s not a city it’s not a hamlet. It’s an unincorporated housing development in Lee County with a few stores. There’s good areas and then there’s areas that aren’t so good. Mostly the rental areas are the ones you have to watch. When you say there’s no access to county water or sewer. You have lied there is county water and sewer. What do you think that big water tower is on Homestead Road ? There are beautiful homes in Lehigh, and even gated communities. I’ve lived here for many years and have experienced zero crime. However, there is crime everywhere. You cannot escape it. Cape Coral is a mess of crime. The only thing I agree with you on is access in and out of the area. It has greatly improved over the years, but with the population booming it does need more work. The photos of your wife could be more flattering, but then you’re the guy that zooms around in neighborhoods illegally on a four wheeler where there are children playing. That really says something about your credibility.
It’s not a town. And yes, it gets dark at night like everywhere else. There’s jobs, but some people are too lazy to work. There’s numerous restaurants as well. It’s too bad. You don’t have any fun. Boo-hoo.
Be it as it may. However you want to paint it. I want you to go at about 5 pm on a work day and try going home bait by Daniels or even worse, Colonial. The traffic is so horrendous going to Lehigh Acres any perceived advantage of living there by this alone is Trumped. I’m not saying people who live there are bad and there are nice sections to live but as a place to invest and be happy it is not. Poor infrastructure horrible to access dark at night. I wouldn’t buy anything there. It’s just my opinion but you go and judge for yourself.
If you hired a road engineer to design a place to intentionally create as much traffic as possible you'd have something similar to Lehigh Acres or Cape Coral
So on point Jose! I am so thankful I got out there when I did. Almost 5 Months now up here in GA and though its not perfect by any means it is nothing as bad and as possibly dangerous as Lehigh and I have pretty awesome internet now. Something I need for my work at home position and had but then for some unknown reason with CenturyLink changing stuff on me in 2018 didn't and I couldn't go away because I could no longer have a cam with wifi set up to watch my mom and animals while I was away. I do miss some of the people I met there. I wish you and Kati well wherever you both are moving. I will still always support you here on your channel and watch your videos to see what is up with you guys and everywhere else you all travel. Daniels, Joel, Sunshine, Buckingham, Cemetery Rd, 80, Colonial Blvd, Cleveland, God bless everyone there, and those who went through Ian and are even going to attempt to stay and rebuild.
Love how he says construction builders dump on other peoples property yet he thinks it is ok to ride ATVs on other peoples private property destroying their land. People just can't think anymore.
Big Lots with lotsa grass to cut!But it really needs to be incorporated as a city with it's own police dept.,council, mayor,Council,, manager, development of a town center etc...it's just a large suburban sprawl.
My parents wanted me to move to Lehigh last year. After watching your videos and doing research on the schools, lack of employment, shopping, and the traffic, I decided to look elsewhere. Honestly, it's too boring for me after visiting for a couple of months. My father likes living there though.
I can understand how you feel, I recently moved to the Buckingham area of Lehigh. From his videos I see it’s where he moved from. So far I really like it, only 25 minutes from downtown. And It’s really quiet here. Im from NYC, I’m kind of tired of all the excitement. I find fun downtown just eating and walking around. It’s something new for me.
I will move to Lehigh Acres to live. I think better than South California where 25 years I lived. However, we don't care those bad things you said. We need big land and big dogs to enjoy life in the green area, good air...
Couple things, I moved to Lehigh Acres March 2022, my home is on city as is the other homes on my street. It used to be on well water at some point though. Secondly, there is an accident on Lee Blvd daily and many of them are fatal. It seems like every week I hear of a fatal crash. Ive only had one issue and it was when i first moved in when some shady person knocked at my door at 1am and said they were looking for someone that lived here that cut grass, lol. Lehigh is just like most cities/towns, you got your good and bad, regardless where u live you should always defend your home and loved ones. We keep to ourselves and IMHO that's the best way to go cuz most people these days are looking for an easy victim. Thanks for your videos, they are great
I used to have property in Lehigh Acres since-1962 about 15 years ago or more I took pictures it was still Woods and then about five years ago they put streets in street signs.. One House was built on it and then they just left and the vegetation took over now it's back to the woods again..I called the realtor up and dumped it..They told me there will never be public water or publix sewer in that area..So after looking at some of these videos I don't mind taking a loss..
When I lived in Iona,a family in Lehigh went to went to work one day and came home to their entire house robbed.Appliances, furniture,AC,clothes, Everything.Gangs from Miami come over and bring the big U-Haul and four guys and take everything.
So true! I have been in Lehigh for 14 yrs and this place sucks! I used to work in Naples and the commute was horrible back and forth. I used to leave work at 4:30 pm and didn't get home until around 6:30 - 7ish. I tried moving to the west coast and central Florida but it would be the same. I'm trying now to move back up north. Are you still living in Florida?
Bad pleace to live ,out of control now ,going terrible every month . Deadly crash, crime ,traffic so bad, high taxes ,bad water quality. It's really bad on 2023
Since you're familiar with junk removal couldn't you have just thought this video through and written down: top reasons to not live in Lehigh Acres. 1. Teenage & other crime 2. No good Internet 3. New construction issues That way you could just not add to the junk on the internet particularly your channel. Lehigh Acres is not that different from many other places all over. I understand your rant though. I hope you understand how ironic this video is.
Not to mention, he comes up with all his so-called statistics with nothing to back it. He has insulted good people, hard-working people not everybody dumps you owe that sector of our population an apology. When you can actually back up your so-called statistics, then make a video this one makes you look like a complete arse.
@@moonbeamer4468 I hope I didn't hit a sore spot moonbeamer lol. It looks the same on my map here in Idaho as it does any subdivision on my map. My only point was that he should clean this junk up. After all he's a junk remover!

My family and I live in Lehigh. Our community has Comcast! Our internet is good, and my husband works from home. It’s not too bad!

Yes please what part of Lehigh ?, I'm moving there this year.
Thank you, Jose and Katie. Keep speaking your minds. It makes you interesting and authentic. Love that you have sand in your shoes. ❤

We ride atvs on easements to canals not people’s properties.

they will never
What's funny though is that this area was barely even touched by Hurricaine Ian. Gateway either.

I have to say that those duplexes are unique. I've never seen that design before. Looks like California.
