I’m gonna make it my mission this upcoming year to hustle hard on reselling (I have a lot of inventory that needs to be listed). Will create a goal to pay for my trip to Montana. I’ve been wanting to go over there for a long time now.
I am glad you are doing well. I use to donate to Goodwill. When I watched a video about 2 Police officers trying to get a Pair of Shoes for a Homeless Lady because her's were stolen and the Goodwill store would NOT give the Officers a Pair of Shoes for her. I have also read that the Folks running Goodwill, the Board, make 6 figures in Salary. Nope.
My pet peeve with thrift stores is when they get a donation of multiples of the same brand, they look it up and price it higher than they would if they just got a single item because it’s more common to receive it that way. Like those ridged tools. If it was a single drill that got donated, they would have priced it at like $10 but when they see numerous, their mindset instantly shifts to 🤑 Either look up everything or nothing at all, wth!
Haha I know. I have about 5 totes full of stuff put aside for whatnot. The thing is I lost money on both shows. Which is what I expected since it takes time to become profitable on whatnot. But it’s hard to find motivation for a 2 hour show that I know I will at best break even
