If Trumps cuts off funding, particularly for Medicaid, then the States should take the money they send to the National Treasury and apply it to the programs effected by the cuts. They can tie it up in court for years. Meanwhile the Federal government will die of thirst.

I love Senator Tim Kaine. He has been my elected official for nearly 30 years now starting with City Council in Richmond, then as my Mayor, then Lt. Governor, Governor, and now Senator. Tim Kaine is a very good man. One of the few truly genuine and decent human beings in government. He is also fluent in Spanish from having worked as a missionary in Honduras.

In the book, Vance writes about his family's financial struggles and how government assistance, including Medicaid, played a role in their lives. Specifically, he mentions that Medicaid helped cover some of Mamaw's medical expenses later in her life, such as when she needed oxygen tanks for her emphysema.
If she were alive today, I wonder how Mamaw would feel having her Medicaid cut off by her grandson and his boss? Disgusting!
