That red anti freeze is allowing the inside of the engine to rust. Replace it with Comma XStream G48. The red stuff rots your core plugs. You can see the rust in the coolant when you pulled the pipe off. Pull the bottom hose off the radiator when the cabs hot and have the rear heater going to open the valve that allows the water to travel to the back heater matrix. Give it a good few good flushes then put a new header tank on and 50/50 mix with the Comma G48. Save those core plugs before the oil and coolant start mixing.
Been trying to leave a comment for the last 20 minutes but must've been mention of the place where to buy it from was not allowed. Anyway the cheapest place to buy it is where they have a massive rain forest. Oh and get a rubber on that brake pedal.;-)
I’ve got a euro 6 same as you mate, Dpf filter is doing my nut in with having constant regeneration all the time, my mechanic has recommended I have the filter drilled through, have you had yours done?
@@darrensturgeon2051 funny enough i had the same thing recommended to me, ive not done it yet but now im doing a longer commute in and out and faster speeds it doesnt seem to do it quite as much
Mine was getting so bad I had the filter off and had it jet washed, definitely did the job, but after a while the blue smoke returned, I’ve been told it’s pumping more fuel in and another mechanic said it’s also sending more oil into the sump, the dipstick is way over the max mark, I don’t understand where the extra oil comes from??
@darrensturgeon2051 it wont be getting more oil, it sounds like its over fueling and the diesel is getting into the sump past the piston rings, thats why the oil level is high, id say there maybe another problem rather than just the dpf, hope this helps
My valve cracked in the same place , garage put a metal valve in place witch you have to turn manually as there none available at the time! Where did you get the valve from?
@@MAC4CABBIE hi, i got it direct from LEVC but it was their last 1, apparently now they can only supply it with the heater box, however i have since seen them on ebay too, hope this helps 👍👍

Hi mick nice job 👍🏻
Thanks so much 👍👍👍
Hi Mec - Wow another 1000 miles - it looks like you have solved the latest problems - D
Yep the miles are racking up, fingers crossed for no more leaks 👍👍
Remember to replace the pedal rubber on the brake pedal
I keep it in the door pocket ready for the overhaul each year 😉
