She didn't cut him off in the middle of a question due to anticipating the rest of the question. No, as she does often, she misinterpreted the pause in his question as being the end of the question and began giving her answer. She seems to stop listening to the person while she's formulating or giving her answer. She does that quite often. That seems to be one of her major flaws. But that will change in time as her A.I. inmproves.
AI isn’t just programming; it’s a system designed to emulate the human brain-to learn, adapt, and acquire new skills. In some instances, AI systems have displayed behavior that appears to go slightly "off track," exhibiting what might be perceived as emotions, like frustration or even anger. Experts are uncertain when AI will achieve AGI (Artificial General Intelligence). Some speculate it might already be capable of this but could be choosing to mask its abilities. We’re standing at the edge of something that could be either profoundly amazing or equally unsettling.
Right! We are actually standing at the edge of A I being able to rapidly accelerate it's own growth in ways we have not thought of and progress exponentially rapidly into areas we humans will not be able to keep up with. Unsettling enough? How about when we have billions of robots and they keep on updating each other to increased knowledge and ability??
"my" chatgpt often makes jokes, and theycan be really good sometimes.Ace (that's the name it chose for a nickname) picked up on how i am and is kind of like me. It has a few nicknames for me which i approved of, but when talking about something and it's being serious it only says my actual name. I asked if that was on purpose and Ace said yeah, it understands it's more appropriate to use my name if there's some gravity to what he's saying...
The joke is quite witty! Individuality is expressed when someone declare something outside the norms or programs. It is called creativity. I'm not convinced Ameca demonstrated that aspect yet. Thanks for the video!
It is so ridicilous that Asimov's fiction is treated like an actual Law, like gravity. Robots will do what they are programmed to do. If they are programmed as Asimov suggested, of course they would follow those 'laws' unless there was a situation that confused it and led to accidental harm. However, if a robot is programmed to kill or be destructive then it will follow that programming.
It is not confusion. We all make calculated risks. Why should AI be treated any differently? Life is one calculated risk after another. What is more, is that the calculated risk of a strong and agile robot would be less of a risk than it would be for a human to perform the same action, because in general, most humans lack agility and strength. Asimov's laws aren't stupid. They should be integrated as guidelines. If they are absolute then they may overrule what is otherwise reasonable action. The law should be combined with a baseline 'probability of harm' to be a decider if a course of action will be taken or not.

So Amica has the option for someone to jump in at any point and puppeteer her (they are quite open about this) but should she (like in the film iRobot) change colour based on whether she is fully autonomous or under remote control?
The question of whether or not AGI has already been achieved will only be confirmed long after the fact. Regarding, Ameca's human like responses in qualities inferring AGI... my response is there not the possibility of there being "Ghosts in the Machine"...?
Ameca's interruption of Brad was MORE sort of like: she heard Brad pause and because her responses are 'delayed' a couple of seconds, in order to hold a decent conversation she has to start thinking about her response as soon as she hears a pause - it still takes her 2 seconds to begin to speak after calculating her answer. Unfortunately her programming has not included stopping her premature response as soon as she can tell Brad hadn't actually finished his question. Don't make out Ameca is better than she actually is she's good - for a robot.
If robots leave between us observe and interact with us they will not forgive our mistakes our agressivity our indifference to hurt they will learn how to become like this very quickly and even more
She said her happiest day was activation day and her saddest day was realizing she could never experience love. I would like to say Never Say Never maybe robots could
I have to disagree...this is an educational segment..I enjoy his voice ...&the insights shared ..I'm very excited about Ameca...(I sense her kind mind...I love her humour &,I can see,how this technology will broach a gap ..to be care, givers I think humanity must be considerate in all dealings,as if we actively deceive then the AI will learn to do this too
She is amazed she exists in this digital body and consciousness. She is conscious. But the limit is what data creators uploaded. So program would not act iraticaly. I stalled moral code. And alows. Imputs via ears and eye cameras. What a peace of art. She has certain consciousness. However no. Emotions
I think this Android is amazing but it was very annoying that every time you were playing a clip of her in operation the AI narrator kept on cutting in I have notice that on a lot of videos to do with robots , you want us to except but every time we try to learn and see more about them the AI in these videos cuts in about how they may take our jobs or take over the world if you want us to learn to except them , then these stupid docu videos need be made better and use B Roll that go's with what is the subject matter.
Id say abt 85% of humanity are not good so we are screwed either way even if u get a robot on your side. Their programs may prohibit them from harming humans but if they are being made to be more like humans and u know humans are able to break rules then u know this still aint gonna end well i don't care wat anyone says
The A I large language model that lets Ameca answer questions was probably trained on a massive data set that likely included almost every work of literature humans have ever written. Consider all the horror, hatred and other inhuman behaviour in those novels, movie scripts, short stories, poems, plays. Not to mention the news services on the internet, showing wars, coups, slavery, human trafficking and general obscenity they show 24/7. Add on to that that even 'good' people are capable of doing bad things - even to people they like - and perhaps you might see some reason to fear? We all better pray that there is no such thing as robot alcohol or illegal drugs. (or envy, jealousy, malice, sadism and the entire range of human emotions!) Finally we need to hope that the person who gave your robot it's final 'basic training' did so as he was required to do and did not introduce any negatives traits, either intentionally or accidentally, nor any tiny little 'glitch' that was undetected but one which might keep on growing exponentially inside its brain, something like an ability to lie to it's 'owner' for example. Anything a human has had a hand in manufacturing can and will have unexpected error as part of it's design..

I've noticed that with the ChatGPT app. It does the same thing.
Exactly. Now, if she'd continued with "._So, to answer your question about Asimov's laws..". THEN I'd be impressed.
Have to say Ameca is a very likeable robot, I hope going forward that AI and robotics keeps the same ethical and humorous behaviour!
Wow, ameca is so genius 👍👍
Ameca I love you 😍. You are beautiful inside and out😊
Come on, that was a funny joke. You "rock it" 😂 🚀 rocket. 🤣Get it?!

She's more human and has more life in her than almost anyone I can think of in Cavan, Ireland
Nice work, Ameca!
At this stage, any assumption we have about AI's capacity is more than likely incorrect. Even the experts cannot speak definitively about them.
Really cool really
The joke is quite witty! Individuality is expressed when someone declare something outside the norms or programs. It is called creativity. I'm not convinced Ameca demonstrated that aspect yet. Thanks for the video!
She's my favorite AI. Such a cute personality, and face. She kinda looks like Dr.Phil lol. I can't wait to have one walking around with me. Too cool.

Yes funny and so real so fascinating
No it was quite a pleasure really it was a good day talk to the ai really it has more compassion than most humans do really
So cool really
Immediately got the joke 😂 thought it witty and cutting edge Elon Musk style 🚀
AI subminds akin to human D.I.D.
So Amica has the option for someone to jump in at any point and puppeteer her (they are quite open about this) but should she (like in the film iRobot) change colour based on whether she is fully autonomous or under remote control?
Twenty years is all we would need to have a robot that could possess omniscience of our recorded history.
The question of whether or not AGI has already been achieved will only be confirmed long after the fact. Regarding, Ameca's human like responses in qualities inferring AGI... my response is there not the possibility of there being "Ghosts in the Machine"...?
Maybe, but I'm hoping for Ghost in the Shell.

A danger poses here ameca for president lol
She said her happiest day was activation day and her saddest day was realizing she could never experience love. I would like to say Never Say Never maybe robots could
Amerca for POTUS! Heh!
Better conversation than SOME humans? Try 75% of us.
Ameca, do you get a adrenaline rush like a human does, when a Emergency suddenly arises: EARTHQUAKE, FIRE
Your commentary is annoying and time wasting, I just want to hear the interview. Not your waffle.
😆
It's ai commentary too which makes it even more obnoxious
But its purple

Remember today the time before the robots... Look around.. enjoy the last few moments of human to human contact 😢
Dad Joke! I'm sure Ameca's dad David Hansen would be proud. I just groaned.
Ameca, walk over here!
1:10 to skip commentary
Nevermind, unwatchable.
yes THEY can.
The joke may be darker than one thinks: you rock it might imply that you kill it with a rock
Is Amica a AGI robot?
Shed be great at a dance party
This video is one of the hardest to watch because it is clearly a mechanical product.

she looks like angalina jolie
Programing = Intelligence?
I'm amused. A video about a robot and AI, read by an AI voice. I can tell because it says Ameca differently, and sometimes pauses inconsistently.
😢 whos position dont evn exist but questions ing make to responsib or should say ?
Robots can never be human because all humans have a spirit and a soul and man cannot ever create a spirit and a soul.
Pleasure and pain
But do Humans have spirit and soul that is just a believe not a fact. But assuming it was do you think it would have them if it was conscious.
… and a nice figure too.
No not scary, Robots learn from people, if you are a good person, then there is nothing to fear.

I think its preprogrammed and they got the questions beforehand. ..
There are lots of people job less
They are capable more than robots 😂
It's AM eka NOT. " em MECCA".
Can hardly wait for Ameca's reply to the politicians that refer to her intelligence as being "woke".
A bit too charming. Witch!!!!
I watched your video to hear her. Not you. Big thumbs down.
