Rest In Peace Aaron. Such a shame that this song can't have a studio version, but enough of that. We will see you in the sky Mr. Carter.

This beautiful song represents what America truly is and what it stands for so well. This is probably my favorite childhood song and I still love it to this day. Our founding fathers have got to be furious right now up in heaven after seeing what this once great country that they built and fought for has turned into.

I wish there were a lot more shows like "Liberty's Kids", because I think people of my generation can learn and understand history more when it is made entertaining like this, and the song alone is worth an Emmy in my opinion.

Im afraid in the age of political correctness, history is offensive. I may be a millennial, but I am not a snowflake.

    • @professorpyne
      @professorpyne 7 років тому +7

Mega Man, I am a millennial as well, and I find history fascinating. Naturally, history has often been mixed with propaganda, and the trick is to understand what is real and what is not. From careful examination, nearly all lies fall apart while the truth stands the test of time. Anyways, the point I’m trying to make is, people who find history offensive just don’t understand it, because if they did, they could find it as fascinating as I do. It’s true not all history is positive, (there is a lot of it that’s horrible) but we can learn lessons from both good history and bad history. History is essentially stories about people, some who were good-hearted and who tried hard to help humanity and did amazing things with their life. History is also the story of the persons who became infamous for all the very evil things they started. We must learn to imitate the good examples and avoid following the bad “warning” examples.

I feel as though this song is so relevant today. First of all, the music itself is so upbeat and makes me feel great every time I listen to it. Second, the lyrics are important; for all the politics, lies, and bullcrap between political parties and leaders in the U.S.A. today, it's still the U.S.A., and it's still a beautiful country. It's shown in the lyric"Feeling the pain as innocence dies- looking at life, through my own eyes!". That's just my interpretation though.

Kayla:] Give me a world that's equal on all sides
[Aaron:] Let freedom flow as constant as the tides
[Kayla:] I pray with each sunset, don't forget to rise
    [Aaron:] (Don't forget to rise)
    [Kayla:] I live without regret
    [Both:] For ordinary lives
[Both:] I'm lookin' at life through my own eyes
Searchin' for a hero to idolize
Feeling the pain as innocence dies
Looking at life through my own eyes
[Kayla Hinkle] I'm hoping and praying for a brighter day
I listen to my heart and I obey
How can I see it any other way?
I'm looking at life (looking at life)
    Through my own eyes
[Aaron:] I see a land with liberty for all
[Kayla:] Yet still I know the truth will rise and fall
    [Aaron:] (Oooh yeah-yeh)
That's just the way it goes
[Both:] A word now to the wise
The world was made to change
    Each day is a surprise
[Both:] Lookin' at life through my own eyes
Searchin' for a hero to idolize
Feeling the pain as innocence dies
Looking at life through my own eyes
I'm hoping and praying for a brighter day
I listen to my heart and I obey
How can I see it any other way?
Looking at life (looking at life)
    Through my own eyes
[Both:] And I know when you're looking for the truth (Mmmhmm)
If you go and read between the lines
    You'll discover how and why
[Aaron (rap):] I take my heart into battle
Give that freedom bell a rattle
    Get my independence signed
Declare it on the dotted line
    In Philidelphia freedom ring
    And patriotic voices sing
Red White & Blue never give up
    We represent America
[Both:] I'm lookin' at life through my own eyes
Searchin' for a hero to idolize
Feeling the pain as innocence dies
Looking at life through my own eyes
I'm hoping and praying for a brighter day
I listen to my heart and I obey
How can I see it any other way?

It's stupid how some people can't get along with each other just because of skin color, aliens are better at loving and treating each other fairly than us. I might not live to experience a world without racism, but I know one day racism will end for good. God my wish is for there to be a world without racism and for everyone to get along, use me if you have to, just give us an equal world. In Jesus Name Amen

Mr. Trump may have won, but the sentiments of the song still rings true. One has to remember that America is not the complete angel that “Liberty’s Kids” promotes. However, the show does bring out the sincerity of the Founding Fathers and how they were fighting hard for something better than what they had under Britain’s King George the Third. Nothing that Mr. Trump can do now will change the sincerity of what ones like Washington, Franklin, Adams, Jefferson, and all the others of 1775-81 were trying to accomplish. Just because America has not always lived up to the expectations of it’s citizens does not mean that it is all bad. The truth is, don’t despise America, but don’t worship it either. It is good to appreciate what we in the States have, but it would be wrong to ignore the dark times either. America is not a perfect government, but it is not a tyranny either. Not yet, anyways. Let us be grateful for the privileges we have but know that we have disadvantages too. Each country has its pros and cons, its yin and yang. A reasonable person considers each and weighs them in the balance.
