Dayum! What a sound and a lesson. When I find those out there sounds during my little Saturday night sonic experiments don't just say that was cool and forget about it no, lean into it. So much to say. I guess I will let it out in 2 - 10 sentence burst over the next year or so on JD's channel. Just awesome.
Jeez. Another blues musician who thinks the point of music is to try and impress with how many weird and new sounds they can generate from their guitar. I didn't make it past the first 4 minutes. Was looking at it to maybe buy tickets to an upcoming concert....PASS!
@@DiegoStyler5 Everybody likes AC/DC because they rule, but Doctor Dox's point is spot on. JD Simo is truly something special. He's one of my two favorite living guitar players alongside Marcus King, an absolutely world-class talent. I recorded this Nashville session with him a few months ago. I saw him a few weeks ago at Mercury Lounge in NYC, and he had noticeably progressed even further in the four months since Nashville. His playing keeps getting better every time we cross paths, I remain excited to witness his development at every opportunity.
Saw him last night; the drummer had only the snare and bass drum and a couple cymbals, and sounded like four people drumming. JD was incredible of course.
Saw them in Chicago a few years ago at House of Blues when they "opened" for Ace Frehley, and they were absolutely the best opening band I've ever seen at any concert in my entire life. They laid waste to the place and owned the night.
Wow, I was blown away by Jeff twenty years ago when I saw him as a teenage prodigy blowing the doors off a place in the Phoenix area. I knew then he was a rising star but after seeing this now I'm even more impressed with this new musical zone he's created! Hats off to you man - the universe is the limit for you!
Opened for Allman Betts at the Cabot in Beverly, MA. Two dudes I never heard of walk out and I'm wondering what's going on. Well, some damn righteous guitar and drums going on that shook the house to its foundation!
Got to see JD live in my home town Cincinnati a few years ago and it was amazing. Also got to hang out with the band for a bit after the show and they are all such cool dudes who love music and gear.
With a rhythm section like that, improvisation comes naturally...Brilliant.
Wow. This took me by surprise. Fantastic stuff, what a sound - doesn’t seem from this world.
Just saw him at the W.C. Handy blues festival in Henderson Ky. Awesome show!
My new favorite…thank you SiriusXM
That's exactly where i learned of him love it!
Hard to believe that's the same guy who played with Don Kelley band. Damn versatile.
This band is so telepathic all three are so great, I would love bass player like that!
WOW..an instant fan following that opener. Coming to Chicago with GA-20 (another great blues trio) in October!

REVERB!! I love it!
The drummer is great too -- I love the way you can see how much he's enjoying the guitar playing
I just saw them live at the Dakota Club in Mpls. Just dont know what bag these cats are coming out of next. Fab show.
Brilliant ❤️👏
holly shit so glad to find you
Banging!
Simo and GA20 would be my kind of show. Its a shame that I'm in the UK.
Incredible! There is something wrong with the "like" counter on this feed. Please come to Georgia with GA-20!
holy shit :)

I much prefer his Les Paul into a Marshall days but some of the new stuff is good. You just need to adjust your expectations.
People evolve and change. Go listen to AC/DC if you want the same shit over and over with no change
😆
I like Ac/Dc

More to come!
JD is definitely finding his own style.
Straight outta Chulahoma
Feels like I was dipped in grease and had fuzz thrown on me 🥵

Just amazing ❤️🙏🏻⚡️
Love the new approach, chops and sounds from JD! Lockdown sounds good on him.

Chachi delgrecco (drummer) is that dude!!!!
JD is such an interesting and refrence in all that is music ,go and find any podcast with him as a guest and enjoy his wisdom and funny anecdotes!!
You guys are definitely inspired by Junior Kimbrough, same sound
Epic Space Blues! JD is the 21 century blues on his maximum!
JD is the Man right now!!
WHAT A PERFORMANCE!!
JD is so much cooler than JB!
Who knew? wow!
Why did I think that was Bam Margera 😂
Love it. JD is going back to the krazy 60's, pool parties, fuzz pedals, psychedelic stonedness......
Greasy good.
Very nice video 👍
MONSTER player, seems like a super-nice guy. The world needs more of both. Seeing him in 10 days in Chicago. Can't wait.
that drumming in the first track sounds like a march -- like the fife and drum blues of the South (Othar Turner, Strickland)

Just found out about J.D. on the Live From Flat V podcast, I'm definitely now a fan. I needed this.
Crushingly good!!!
Is he playing through a Deluxe, or is it some other fender amp? Anybody know?
I feel like JD taps into Sonny Sharrock at times. That's never a bad thing.
Love how the sun sets over the duration of the set. Nice touch.
that was really something. just what it is i cant say.
Warum macht man den Bass so leise? Schade, aber so ist der Mix nur was für Gitarrenliebhaber.
Killin it, Adam! Keep on spreadin the jam
very very tasteful drumming.
Damn these guys are tight together
J. D. Simo.. The best! Love it
