It's truly a meditation in music. I love it! Thematic concerts a superb way of presentation. Keep up this good work.

Every individual artist in this program were excellent. But the whole fusion was a
good ***fusion ...!
It would appear, audience and the performers alike were intrigued at the ***fusion, struggling to find a connect between each other. That said, the Nadaswaram guy was brilliant. So is the Veena lady with her Kaanada ragam. Just superb. Ganesh, Kumaresh were as usual noun and adjectives themselves. Towards the end, it was good fun to watch the Ghatom guy enjoying the play.
I am just being cheeky here, the MMU organizers must have influenced Ganesh, Kumaresh to come up with a lack lustre idea like this. Ganesh Kumaresh are a highly esteemed torch bearers of contemporary Carnatic music. Its difficult to think they came up with a capricious blend of inappropriate instruments.
An out of context intro speech complemented an out of context performance by talented individuals. 45Minutes were too much to stand, I guess.
Isnt it so easy being a UA-camr these days ..?! 😜
Sree Gopalan Thanking you for the feed back. First explanation: This is not a "fusion". SWARA YOGA is an interactive concert. As explained by Ganesh, the interpretation of swaras in each artistes' mind flowing out in their fav raga, culminating to korvai. So as you have mentioned if you have enjoyed every individual artiste, then you have understood what they conveyed.
Second explanation: MMU organisers DO NOT interfere in the creatives and presentation of any artiste. It os the complete freedom of the artiste.
Third explanation: the audience were not intrigued but were involved. This was evident as we witnessed it live.
Every concert in MMU is left to the creative interpretation of a rasika. And therefore we value every comment. When it comes to clarifications we do come in. You are welcome to post your views freely about the performance. We highly appreciate your language in criticism which leaves the artistes unhurt.
