Thanks for sharing your new machine with us! It is so cute! I love how excited you get with your new supplies and materials. One thing, though. If you think you will be using any 3D embossing folders with your machine, you shouldn't tape the plate sandwich as you suggested. The 3D emboss only uses the base plate A and the D plate along with the embossing folder. Cheers!

If I didn’t have two small machines already; Sidekick, and Hero Arts, I would be so tempted. I am wondering how prone to warping the plates of the Scout would be.
They're probably the same material as all the other spellbinders plates. I don't see why they'd be more or less prone to warping. But we'll see.
Will this handle the 3d thick embossing folders? For instance, Stamping up?
If Spellbinders makes 3D Embossing Folders to fit in the Scout, it will fit those as it has the same Universal Platform as the larger Platinum 6. Note: the size of the platform base is 3.5" wide. I am pretty sure the regular Stampin' Up 3D Embossing Folders will not fit because of the width, the Stampin" Up Mini embossing folders should be fine if they are less than 3.5" wide but I think those are regular thickness not 3D. If there are mini 3D Embossing Folders that are less than 3.5" wide they should work fine in the Scout, you may have to adjust the sandwich.
