Not that it will change you or what you do, I appreciate you! I am thankful that you teach the Bible/God’s Holy Word, guiding His sheep to apply it here & now in our every day lives. ❤ The entire sermon and yet especially love the application of “Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.” James 4:17 KJV
I loved this teaching. I love Athey Creek. I love all the teachings you do. I’ve always seen 1st Corinthians chapter 12, as the manifestations of the Holy Spirit. The manifestations of the Holy Spirit are the outward manifestation/proof that you have the Holy Spirit operating within you severely as He wills. You guys really operate in the love of God and it blesses me so much. When Joey covered for Brett it was so loving. I I wish I could be there with you. I live in Virginia and I have periodically looked at places near Athey Creek to move to. God bless you exceedingly abundantly above all you can ask or think. ❤ 2:30

Thank you dear Pastor Brett, love your teachings so much. Watching and listening from Germany 😊. Love your distinction between Romans 11 and 1Kor.11-gifts of versus emanations/ moving of the Holy Spirit. Never heard it explained so easy and clear! God bless you, your family and church family- I love being part of your online church. ❤
For me personally as I contemplate the goodness of God's grace , it is the testimonies of those particular individuals that God protected supernaturally from the wickedness and deceptions of the world that truly amazes me in awe and wonder.
Thank you Pastor Brett. So Our Lord gave His Grace to Paul ! 1 Timothy 1: 12-17. An Paul said ; I laid a Foundation as an Expert Builder! 1 Corth 3: 10 -17; This is what the Sovereign Lord says! He who is not with me is Against me ; Matt 12: 30 -32 ; 33 -37. In Christ Jesus Name, To the Glory of God! Amen .
Pastor Brett, regarding evangelism, I pass out tracts and a small book called “Done”, by Pastor Cary Schmidt. Most of the time I’m alone and do this while running errands or go to a place where there are lots of people. Like a parking lot at a grocery store or a Walmart. Should I not do this until I can find another believer to accompany me? Your advise is wise and biblical. I would love to have a fellow believer with me if possible. Yet I also believe that time is running out on the church age and so many need to be sure of their salvation thru Christ before the rapture. God bless and hope to hear back from you or one of your pastors. Art, from Houston.
John was sent alone to Patmos and I highly doubt he stopped being a disciple as he was there alone! The fact is we’re never alone, JESUS is always at our right side! My point is, don’t stop, we are witness’ whether alone or in pairs! GOD bless you and yours!!!
Hi Art, thanks so much for the question. Pastor Brett's reference to never traveling alone was more of a general rule for him and the pastors as a good practice. What you are doing is a bit different. When Jesus told us to "go ye therefore, and teach all nations..." Matthew 28.19, He wasn't just speaking to those who would become missionaries in foreign lands, but to all of us! The word used for 'go' can be understood as 'as you are going,' and that is exactly what you are doing. As you are going to the grocery or Walmart or wherever, be one who is sharing Jesus and making disciples. Keep up the good work, Art!
@@AtheyCreek Thanks for the clarification and encouragement. Your church is a blessing! Means a lot someone found time to reply. God bless and Maranatha!!
Honest Question: Was Peter already well-read and knowledgeable of the Old Testament text of Deuteronomy and Genesis before he preached this message to the Pharisees, or was this more the Holy Spirit speaking through him, or both?
This is a great question! The simple answer is that it is a bit of both. Although Peter was called 'unlearned and ignorant' by the Jewish leaders in Acts 4.13, his knowledge of the Old Testament was very clear. But knowledge alone is often insufficient, and Peter relied on the Holy Spirit to remind him of these Scriptures and then apply them with godly wisdom. Because of Peter's answer, the Jewish leaders marveled and noted that 'he had been with Jesus', and although they meant that as an insult, it is the greatest of compliments to the believer!
