    Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra
    The Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra is a 32 km pilgrimage trek located in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, India. The trek takes you to the Shrikhand Mahadev Peak, which stands at an altitude of approximately 18,570 feet. This journey is both physically demanding and spiritually enriching.
    1. Clothing:
    Warm clothes
    Waterproof and windproof outer layers
    Comfortable trekking pants
    Gloves, hats, and scarves
    Extra pairs of socks and undergarments
    2. Footwear:
    Sturdy trekking shoes with good grip
    3. Trekking Gear:
    Backpack with rain cover
    Sleeping bag (if camping)
    Tent (if camping)
    4. Personal Essentials:
    Sunglasses
    Sunscreen and lip balm
    First aid kit
    5. Food and Water:
    High-energy snacks (dry fruits, nuts, energy bars)
    Reusable water bottles or hydration packs
    6. Safety:
    Flashlight or headlamp with extra batteries
    7. Documents:
    Identity proof (Aadhar card, voter ID, etc.)
    Key Temples and Stops Along the Route:
    1. Jaon Village:
    The trek usually starts from Jaon Village, which is well-connected to Shimla and Kullu by road.
    2. Singhad:
    The first major halt for most pilgrims. Basic accommodations and food are available here.
    3. Thachru:
    A crucial resting point before the ascent. Thachru has camping sites and small eateries.
    4. Kali Ghati:
    This is a significant point where pilgrims offer prayers to Goddess Kali.
    5. Bhima Dwar:
    Named after Bhima from the Mahabharata, this location is known for its beautiful meadows and is a popular camping site.
    6. Parvati Bagh:
    This spot is known for its picturesque beauty and rare flowers. Pilgrims often take a rest here before the final ascent.
    7. Nainsar Lake:
    A small glacial lake on the way, believed to be sacred. Many pilgrims take a dip here.
    8. Shrikhand Mahadev Peak:
    The final destination where the Shivalingam is located. Pilgrims offer prayers here amidst breathtaking views.
    Fitness: Ensure you are physically fit and well-prepared for the trek.
    Guidance: Consider hiring a local guide for a safer and more informed journey.
    Respect Nature: Follow the principles of Leave No Trace. Carry your waste back and respect the natural surroundings.
