Just got back from the range with mine. Zero malfunctions out the box after 300 rounds. These were on sale for $499 last month so I couldn’t pass it up.
Bought one of these on sale for 399 a few months ago and I am glad I did, It's a blast to shoot, I always catch myself trying to brace for the 7.62x39 recoil(gets me almost every time) This thing is accurate and a soft shooter, the only negative I would say is the polymer magwell. I do love it takes CZ Skorpion mags instead of Glock mags. I put roughly 200 through mine with no issues.
I just want to say that this is a very well-done video. No BS, no wasted time, great lighting, clean editing, and you speak very clearly. Thanks for making this video, I know what purchase will piss off my wife next! 😎
got the Draco 9s in 2023. Great 9mm PCC and with the SBtactical brace in the PIcatinny mount. it fed anything and my Pmags did not hold the last round open ! THIS IS shooting standard 115grain FMJ ammo like CCI brass, MOnarch and WInchester white box. HOwever I am getting intermittent issues where the bolt will hold back and I could not push the bolt forward. its the piece that metal piece right on above the mag weld that causes it to jam! after thourough cleaning it reverts back to normal operations ! will keep an eye if this is gonna jam up again! seems when you get dirty the mechanism that suppose to release when the bolt is pull way back should release but the dirt is preventing that which causes the jam! this seems to get less frequent as the gun is broken in. Will see
It's not made by the same company that makes the WASR 10. Its made by a comparatively new company also based in Cugir. Century arms has been working with them for a while and even now sell a wasr alternative.
Have you ever removed the lower handguard? I wanted to change mine but I can't get the retainer far enough forward to slide it completely out. Looks to me like I may have to remove the front sight to do so...any thoughts?
@@GBGuns yea I'd just feel better with a metal magwell but I went ahead and bought a 9S. I just prefer metal over polymer, I prefer my CZ RAMI over my hellcat or sig p365 that's why when I carry polymer I carry just about full size because micros are too poppy or snappy for me. I had no trouble concealing my P8 PFS9 but traded that for an Arex Delta L. Anyway if it ends up breakin then I'll probably try to find one or have one made, but I've not heard of that happening so far so we'll see. Thanks for the response, no one else has.
@@GBGuns yea I see what you mean now. I'd have to drop it a certain angle to break that magwell. One more question I had was what is the trunnion, barrel and bolt/carrier made out of? Pretty sure they are not milled. I've tried looking everywhere online and found no information on it. I think Atlantic Arms said it was chrome lined I have to watch that video again. Thanks again for the response. Oh is your magazine article out yet??
Hello, just purchased a 9s and having difficulty removing the barrel tread protector. Tried a couple of times using a knife to push the pin and a wrench to turn the cover. Don't want to force it. Any advice appreciated. Thanks
Ok I'm buying one I already have the pak9 I really don't like it and is really picky on ammo ,I've had enough it's a money pit .now I hope this will shoot more than one brand of ammo😢
The Extar is a bit softer, either because of its unique buffer system or maybe because I've shot that with a brace, only shot this using the push/pull.
@@GBGuns Thanks. BTW, Demonstrated Concepts has a couple of videos on how to 'cheek' AK pistols, which is part of what made me consider the NAK9. Probably going with Extar, since it weighs like 2 pounds less.

Is there brace adapter for it
@@damiengarage8583 you have to buy one separately, doesn’t come with one.
I'm actually online looking at one for the same price 499.99. Should I pull the trigger and buy it? Is it worth it?
Yeah these always interested me too. A lot easier to control than when your spittin' out 7.62.

I'm getting this Draco 9s instead of a PSA AK-V.
I know this is an old comment, but I'm interested to hear how the Draco 9s has held up over a year.
cool

Difference between the 9s and the NAK9. ?????
AFAIK only the magwell.

Do you know if the polymer magwell can be replaced with a metal one? Thanks
I imagine it's possible, but you'd need a metal magwell and a reason to go through the trouble.

@@donsal.t.1765 The mags you'll be jamming in there are also polymer, so I don't expect much wear in the magwell.

What charging handle covers work for these?
Does anyone know if the palmetto state armory Akv mags will work in this Draco 9s??

Comparison with AkV ?
What bout adapter for brace ?
I know it's apples v oranges, but how would you compare the recoil impulse of this versus the Extar ep9?

Doesn't get much better.

Should have got a stribog over a scorpion?....
Yes
Can you convert it to a 7.62 ?
You'd need a barrel, bolt, carrier, and recoil assembly assuming the receiver was the right size. It'd be a lot easier to just get a 7.62 gun

If I had a AK I would rather have a real AK I have pistols that shoot 9mm
Did you see the ammunition test we did with this gun? Some impressive energy for 9mm out of this gun
I like 124 Nato though the AK-V. Cookin'!
and I would rather have a 10 mm Whats your point ? 9mm is fine

Useless with out a shoulder brace or SBR stock.
