Suppose I ask u to count the pulse for 2 minutes and it comes to be 155beats in 2 minutes. Now if I ask u what is the pulse rate in 1 minute, u will divide 155 by 2 so it will come out to be 77.5 beats/minute therefore as u can see pulse rate can take in between values..it's just the limitation of our human brain that we are unable to count in decimals although it can take decimals value. Also if you look at monitors in ICU that are recording pulse rate u will see that they display pulse rate on decimal points too. Look at my earlier video on classification of variables, I have explained there also how pulse rate is a continuous variable.
Hello MAM,cant pulse rate be both discrete and continous .In a way that if counted by a Human it can only have one value so,becomes a DICRETE or may be two but if counted by Machine can be in Decimal can be considered as a CONTINOUS one. Please clear this. Thanks
Whatever data is generated from epidemiological study design is analyzed and interpreted by statistics and accordingly report is generated and results is disseminated. To control diseases and formulating preventive strategies statistics has one of the most important roles.
I degree of freedom in chi-square test, the value of x² for a probability of 0.05 is: 0.45 2.41 3.84 4.34 plz ma'am help me to solve this problem. i didn't find formula of it.
Your channel will be soon recognized well!

Ma'am pulse rate is discrete variable .
How can pulse take in between values .

No it is continuous and not discrete
Mam what is the use of studying biostatistics? What are all its clinical uses and day to day application?

Maam Apgar come in which variable?
Thanks
Do you have mcq on elements on statistics theory
Hi dear.. currently don't have a list on mcq on Biostatistics but I'm working on it
thank you
Ur welcome
Mean +_ 2standard error for 95percent confidence interval.
Mam how can I prepare community medicine for neet pgi?
Pulse rate is discrete
