- Went fishing with Vance of Muddy Creek Fishing Guides with my brother and friend in Chautauqua Lake, NY in October. My preference is always to cast, but Vance explained that casting was very slow this year because the majority of bait fish (e.g. perch) were still deep and not in the weeds. Therefore, I begrudgingly had my first musky trolling experience. It was surprisingly fun - and I learned a lot!

Nice man! Gotta do what you gotta do. I refused to troll for years and started incorporating it into my casting days and it's definitely paid off.
