In the 80s in Indonesia, metal music began to be accepted by Indonesian musicians, but in the 90s metal was banned in Indonesia by the government because there had been riots and arson when Metallica performed in Indonesia. but even though metal was banned, metal still existed and moved underground. until in the 2000s the prohibition on metal was lifted so that metal musicians who had been moving for a decade even though they were restrained became lifted again, even though metal is not the genre of music that is liked by the majority of Indonesians. but during the prohibition period, metal musicians were always updated with the development of world metal music and it was the right moment to always upgrade their skills. even when the ban was lifted, the metal genre that became the majority in Indonesia was extreme metal because their skills were always trained. more or less that's a bit of metal history in Indonesia.
