During the riffs, out of thin air, she explodes and projects a long D6, followed by a beautiful and unbelievable Eb6. At the end she even projects a long, powerful G5. You can count on your fingers the sopranos who can do this entirely live. And 13-year-old sopranos, none, ever.

At the end of the song, Amira made vocalises on her upper vocal register during thirty seconds. Given her age, her vocal and breath control were absolutely insane.. 😊
Yes... I am fortunate to have been at 5 of Amira's concerts.. The song I heard her sing live that remains so clear in my mind is an Ave Maria which she sang in a small theatre in Beek in the Netherlands. She was only accompanied by a piano... And I couldn't describe how her voice sounded in that small theatre.. it was like time stood still and I was transported to another aural only world. I even closed my eyes while she sang it... It was like the silence magnified tenfold and her voice filled it.. it was an exquisite experience. One of the fans there captured it on video and it is on UA-cam.. but like you say ..no video can compare to hearing something like that live.. the quality of her voice is really beautiful..
@@desj2584 When she was living in The Netherlands and doing concerts in Europe it was not very expensive to fly Ryanair from any where to anywhere within Europe... I wouldn't be flying to South Africa where she now lives! ,☺️

A wonderful hymn, here, and she shares her Protestant faith with everyone, did you notice, "Grace will bring us home...."? The Flower Duet is just the best, and the opera pieces, but just try The Sound of Music medley....and recently, "Amen," and, now too that it's just been released by the publishers from last June's concert, "Phantom of the Opera."

What makes this performance so special is that Amira is a genuine, unabashed Christian believer and is quite outspoken in her public testimony for the Lord. Furthermore, she not onl talks the talk, but she walks the walk with her love for people and her great humanitarian efforts for the impoverished children of South Africa through her Gelukskinders ("Lucky Children") Foundation which she founded at the age of TEN! It raises money to build playgrounds for children in impoverished areas throughout South Africa where she resides. She not only maintains the foundation, but she gives 50% of all her income to it herself to keep the ongoing projects funded. She is an absolute angel!

Vilik - hahgen is pretty close to how it sounds. She was 13 when she performed at this show in Pretoria. She also sang Nesdun Dorma and The Flower Duet by Delibes with Corlea Botha. All are quite stunning. Did I hear you say you were Spanish? You sound as if you have an English accent. Couple of songs which Amira sings in Spanish are ... Ave Maria, Gomez. ( at the Canisius church in 2015) and a very recently released Down from his glory, a collaboration with Hispanic American, David Cerna. All these songs are jaw dropping. Amira really is The Best. You have 100s of her YT videos to explore. i'd suggest going back to her beginning with her 3 performances at Holland's Got Talent at age 9 in 2013! Although she is not in the picture as Angelina Jordan is, she is an amazing vocalist as well. Amira is seen as the best soprano in Europe and she even has received an award for that in Italy. I would love to see her sing a duet with Lucy Thomas because their genres are not too far apart from each other. And both voices are so, so exceptionally good.

"Gelukskinders " has a double meaning: It means either "Happy children" or "Lucky children" , depending on the context,
