Hell yeah, an hour or so long. To answer Bethany's question, the name/phrase at the top is the variation the player is playing. It's funny you say that Sindel is your girl, back in Deception yeah, Sindel was almost everyone's favorite since she eventually breaks free from Shao Khan and makes up with Kitana. This new Sindel is just pure evil. Once you get to MK11 watch the endings, they're not canon but highly interesting.
Cetrion, the Mother Earth woman, is an Elder God. The Goddess of Virtue. And her twin brother is Shinnok from MKX The Aztec god looking guy is Kotal Kahn. An Osh-Tekk warrior who became emperor of Outworld after overthrowing Mileena. My theory is that Aztec is a mistranslation from Osh-Tekk. Raiden is dressed in black and has red lightning because he turned into a lethal protector. His exact words being “No longer will I simply defend Earthrealm. I will seek out and destroy all who threaten it. No mercy shall be shown. No quarter given.”
When you said what Kitana was saying, she was using the old classic brutality called the Kiss of Death, from Mortal Kombat 2, which is still her classic. The Kiss of Death is her brutality on Mortal Kombat 11.

Robocop's shot-in-the-hand brutality is a great reference to Alex Murphy's brutal murder in the original movie. MK 11 really stands out with these little details that touch our souls. Great job folks.

Some that are references to other things, like Kitana as catwoman and Jackie Briggs as Spawn. 2: The characters that looked weird and grey like Jade and Nightwolf are because they're dead in the story. They call them revenants. 3: Liu Kang and Kung Lao are not cousins. They just share the same master, Bo rai cho. 4: Sonya Blade and Johnny Cage are actually divorced or at least separated. This is seen in the MKX story mode. 5: Rambo's portal is his way back to his own universe, where he was taken from to be in MK11. He's simply going back home after a victory. 6: Mk11 introduced weapons to all characters and they can be customized. Which is why some are seen with new weapons, like Liu Kang with his Nunchucks and Noob with his Sickle.

It makes for fun mirror matches for the living to be petrified to see what they become if defeated.
Actually, the Revenants are the actual person, but undead. In MKX, Jax and Scorpion come back from being Revenants, and the same happens with Sindel in MK11
Scorpion and Noob Saibot meanwhile were Wraiths or Spectres in their cases, similar to Revenants except they more or less have more free will and not really bound to Quan Chi’s control or will.
The New Mortal Kombat movie doesn’t show the first Sub-Zero (Bi-Han) in his true colors, the movies story is obviously an alternative story - like what if Sub-Zero was actually the murderer of Scorpions family and clan! Originally Bi-Han was actually neutral, leaning more towards good, he was lost, all he needed was someone to show him the right way, Sub-Zero is the only MK character that has his own game, that’s how popular he is! The game is called MK Mythologies Sub-Zero, that is where Bi-Han is shown in his true colors, I highly recommend you guys to react to it, it is like a prologue to the first MK tournament! I dont know if you guys ever saw Kuai Liang Sub Zeros ending in MK11, Kuai Liang travels to the past and shows his brother the right path, and then together they defend Earthrealm, it is an awesome ending, and I really hope they make it a cannon ending in Mortal Kombat 12! In Mortal kombat 11 you have "loadouts" where you can customize the appearance and the special moves of your character. you can choose a name for your loadout but if you dont it will automatically choose one appropriate for the character like "bloodshet" for skarlet
The huge foot from jax was a reference to one of his old fatalities in mk3, actually alot of these brutalities are just reused old fatalities from older games
Oh also Kitana had a CatWoman outfit, Noob Saibot had a Batman outfit, Geras has a DarkSide outfit, Baraka has a Killer Croc outfit, and Cassie Cage has a Harley Quinn outfit, and I think Kabal has a Bane outfit

When they released joker in the game they also dropped a bunch of DC themed cosmetics for other characters to make for some interesting fights also the Noob Saibot outfit is "The Batman Who Laughs" it's a version of Batman in a alternate universe who got corrupted by some Joker toxin from Jokers dying breath when Batman strangles Joker to death due to Joker pushing him over the edge as a result Batman turns into a twisted looking Batman that resembles the Joker and is far more threatening due to him having Bruce waynes intelligence and Jokers sociopathic nature
D'Vorah has the best in my opinion. Her entire look and playstyle is the reason she is my main. Also, the 2 names are the character's name and then the variation name. A variation is a customizable loadout for the character. You can select their cosmetics, moves, variation name, etc.
Mileena is not a person, I am surprised you didn't look at her mouth and instantly recognize her similarity to Baraka. Mileena is a clone, an attempt to make a second Kitana but empowered by Tarkatan blood.
The top name is the variation that is Being used by the player. I hope this helps. Also a question: are you guys going to react to the Mortal Kombat character endings of all the recent games?
Quick facts about the character names. So D'Vorah's name comes from the Hebrew name "Deborah" which means "Bee" 🐝. Baraka's name is an Arabic word used in Islam which means "Blessing"🙏. The name "Barack" means "Blessed One".
The revenant/zombie versions have such better costumes than their human counterparts. I prefer the signature color scheme. Jade will always wear green or variations of green in my game.

Scorpion’s crispy brutality used to be a mk1,2,3,4 and mk Shaolin monks,mk dc universe, mk9 and mkx fatality but they changed it and made it a mk11 brutality
I think I'm just biased, but my favorite brutalities are all from my favorite characters lol. Before Mileena's release, I was a heavy Skarlet and Shao Kahn main (with some Kitana splashed in for variety)...and so their brutalities are just special to me, since I did them so often lol. I love the sheer brutality of Shao Kahn's relentless hammer smashing ones, coupled with his taunting them afterwards. Skarlet is my number 1 in MK11 though, even after Mileena joined the party. I think she has one of the nastier ones, just personally: the one where she forces the opponent to double over and geyser vomit like ALL the blood out of their bodies. In a game with a wealth of seriously unpleasant ways to go, that one just feels like it would be awful to experience. Of course, though...once we got Mileena, she rose quickly to the top. I don't know what's wrong with me, but I like characters that eat people. I just do, lol. She's just so freakin' gleefully vicious that I love pretty much everything she does lol. Honorable mention is Noob Saibot. By and large a lot of his brutalities aren't as interesting as his fatalities, but the one where he sticks 'em in an endless loop of falling through portals is just rude lol.

The only thing I find to be sad is that one of my most favourite brutalities was missing in the video you watched (which is of course not your fault). It was one of Jade's where she pierces or gores the opponent with her staff and shakes him/her. It was one of her fatalities in Ultimate MK3. Maybe you wanna check that fatality out to have a notion of how it looked like.

Bethany seems to hate sub zero lol. I'm guessing it's because of the movie where we saw the first sub zero (Bi Han) but in MK lore he dies then comes back as noob and someone else (Kuai liang) takes up the mantel and is good. You two should play mk9 to 11 so she can see the full story😁 I'd also recommend mortal kombat legends scorpions revenge which tells the story of mk9 in a shorter and different way also the sequel movie is coming out in October

Each character has three different variations a player can choose from after selecting a character. In Mortal kombat 11 you have "loadouts" where you can customize the appearance and the special moves of your character. you can choose a name for your loadout but if you dont it will automatically choose one appropriate for the character like "bloodshet" for skarlet

When they released joker in the game they also dropped a bunch of DC themed cosmetics for other characters to make for some interesting fights also the Noob Saibot outfit is "The Batman Who Laughs" it's a version of Batman in a alternate universe who got corrupted by some Joker toxin from Jokers dying breath when Batman strangles Joker to death due to Joker pushing him over the edge as a result Batman turns into a twisted looking Batman that resembles the Joker and is far more threatening due to him having Bruce waynes intelligence and Jokers sociopathic nature

D'Vorah has the best in my opinion. Her entire look and playstyle is the reason she is my main.
Also, the 2 names are the character's name and then the variation name. A variation is a customizable loadout for the character. You can select their cosmetics, moves, variation name, etc.

I think I'm just biased, but my favorite brutalities are all from my favorite characters lol. Before Mileena's release, I was a heavy Skarlet and Shao Kahn main (with some Kitana splashed in for variety)...and so their brutalities are just special to me, since I did them so often lol. I love the sheer brutality of Shao Kahn's relentless hammer smashing ones, coupled with his taunting them afterwards.
Skarlet is my number 1 in MK11 though, even after Mileena joined the party. I think she has one of the nastier ones, just personally: the one where she forces the opponent to double over and geyser vomit like ALL the blood out of their bodies. In a game with a wealth of seriously unpleasant ways to go, that one just feels like it would be awful to experience.
Of course, though...once we got Mileena, she rose quickly to the top. I don't know what's wrong with me, but I like characters that eat people. I just do, lol. She's just so freakin' gleefully vicious that I love pretty much everything she does lol.
Honorable mention is Noob Saibot. By and large a lot of his brutalities aren't as interesting as his fatalities, but the one where he sticks 'em in an endless loop of falling through portals is just rude lol.

The only thing I find to be sad is that one of my most favourite brutalities was missing in the video you watched (which is of course not your fault). It was one of Jade's where she pierces or gores the opponent with her staff and shakes him/her. It was one of her fatalities in Ultimate MK3. Maybe you wanna check that fatality out to have a notion of how it looked like.

Bethany seems to hate sub zero lol. I'm guessing it's because of the movie where we saw the first sub zero (Bi Han) but in MK lore he dies then comes back as noob and someone else (Kuai liang) takes up the mantel and is good. You two should play mk9 to 11 so she can see the full story😁 I'd also recommend mortal kombat legends scorpions revenge which tells the story of mk9 in a shorter and different way also the sequel movie is coming out in October

Each character has three different variations a player can choose from after selecting a character. Variations can include a unique set of attacks, special moves, or weapons that are only exclusive to that variation. Some Brutalities are also exclusive to certain variations as a character must be capable of performing move to enact the finisher.

There's actually one where Jade impales the opponent's stomach with her staff and then shakes them so hard their skin falls off and one where she hits them in the junk which causes the brain to fly outta the head
