We are big pinto bean eaters. Cooking beans in the winter time on my woodstove makes the best beans. Good information you are sharing ❤

Sounds like y’all are my people!
I want to try cooking them on the wood stove.
What do you cook them in?
      Do you soak them first?
      And thank you!!
      Glad you’ve come!

Thank you for the information, it’s real helpful, especially when you mentioned how to cook if the power goes out and what stores well without having to seal

I’m so glad I found your channel. You are teaching me what I need to know about eating properly.
This is all so very new to me and Ron.
We are taking baby steps and hope to learn to eat simply. 😊

I have an enamel cast-iron dutch over that I use on my wood cookstove. When cooking outside, I use an old stainless steel pot

I will keep that in mind. I have two enameled Dutch ovens that might work. I love these ideas!

A vacuum sealer is awesome. I prefer the countertop models over hand held because the hand held doesn't pull a strong enough vacuum and the jars unsealed over time. Could you share some of your family's favorite recipes? I would find that very helpful. Thank you.

      Oh, ABSOLUTELY!
I appreciate you sharing that about the vacuum sealers. I have no experience with them, so that’s really useful.
      I’d live to share recipes.
please tell me what you’re most interested in!
      Thanks and God bless!

Actually I would appreciate family favorites. I am not all that picky about the bean type. Can you substitute one bean variety for another in recipes and do you have tips for how to know what can be used for a substitute? Thank you.

I keep the recipes pretty simple.
I’ll do a video soon about making beans. 😊
I’d say that many times you can sub one bean for another, but it will depend on the spices.

I like your videos but I wish you could get an external microphone so we can hear your small voice.

      😂
🎙️ I’ve never thought about that. Can’t be too hard to do.
Appreciate your suggestion. If you have any particular suggestions on what type that would be great. 😊
I do all of my shooting and editing on my phone, so it’s really hard to know what it sounds like outside of that.
      Thanks for coming by!!
      God bless!

@@RidgeHavenHomestead I'm sorry I'm no expert but all the external mics have been an improvement that I have seen.
