I see the effort you are putting in these videos keep up that good work. From one small to another "Great work We know how much effort and work these videos can be"
It feels contemporary (in the worst way), so many brands have gone with the sans serif and at this point it just looks bland and uninspired (thankfully Burberry decided to reverse course). The addition of the emojis makes it feel “of it’s time” like it will look dated in a few years, making me think this redesign won’t stick for long. I think it’s biggest transgression is (as you said) it lacks perspective, like it was created to be trendy and corporate rather than personal. I’d love to see your take on it TBH.
I agree with you, every wordmark looks almost the same these days. I think you're right that emojis will have been an era, or at the very least this current stylization with graidents will be associated with the 20's. To be honest if anyone approached me for this project I would have said no, and tried to convince them to do something else haha!
actually the original message was meant for New York State... and taken for New York City. @ezxcve But beyond that, I think the message of generally loving all the things about the city, and the people, and the spirit of this great city is right for now. That's what I mean by "right message
What do you think of the new logo?
I ❤
NY
The so call new logo that I’m guessing isn’t now not being used is terrible and I’m in a New Yorker we love the old logo… it’s apart of new York
@@G_Pauling Totally agree. The original is a timeless classic. I haven't seen the new one used a lot.
This deserves more views. Great work on the research! :)
Much appreciated!

I really appreciate that -- you know the grind! Your channel is so good, I don't know how you don't have more views!
@@redhalftone thank you very much it’s been 3 years in and off learning every step of the way. Algorithm isn’t the biggest fan at peats so far 😂
3:33 "and it's still around every street, frankly, in the world, because ... everybody was longing to say 'I love something.'"
Thorough input by a thorough New Yorker! Excellent work!
Thanks! :)

Tbh the most New Yorker thing is coming together and hating something that’s supposed to represent all of them. 😂
That's the truth! 😂
I ❤ NY
