  • I spent the Lunar New Year, also known as Chinese New Year, in the oldest Chinatown in the world. Binondo is the name of the Chinatown in Manila, Philippines and was established in 1594, so it's 430 years old. The city of Manila's government predicted that there would be 1 million visitors to the small neighborhood of Binondo during this new year's weekend. Follow me as I see the sights and eat delicious Chinese food.

I’m one of your subs Hi! Dave and I truly enjoy your videos. I’m from Cebu now living in the USA. We just had our vacation in Pinas last week and spent one day driving around Manila area. I used to love Manila every time I go there but this time we had a bad experience with traffic enforcers not just one but two extorting money from us as we were not familiar of Manila streets and it was bad traffic and very chaotic, dysfunctional not very well organized. I hope that you will continue to have a great time over there and best of luck always.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. I haven't dealt with enforcers yet, but I have dealt with pickpockets. Manila is far from perfect

Have you had any problems with immigration at Manila airport ? I have seen tons of videos with them stealing and putting a bullet in your baggage . I fly to Davao and I make my flights so I don't have to go though Manila airport .

Always avoid Manila. We’ve had bad experiences with from traffic enforcers to government employees extorting money from us. You are better off in the provinces.
