I was just reading the story behind this song...and, holy crap I'm crying. I don't cry. But I'm crying. It's the Hymmnos, I'm sure. Truly deserving of it's title "Language of Emotion."
@Zer0Null (continued) Meanwhile, it's also true that some hymmnoses in the games are based on the same story. It goes like this: [story] - [song] Zodal Rhaplanca. - EXEC_HIBANATION/. and METHOD_IMPLANTA/. Valda Rhaplanca. - the two METAFALICAs and EXEC_with.METHOD_METAFALICA/. Salavec Rhaplanca. - Singing Hill ~Salavec Rhaplanca.~ and Infelious Rhaplanca. - (this one) You can enjoy each story regardless of the order (as I said just before.)
You know what amazes me? It's that the girl who created Maoh with her wish worshipped him, and when she turned into a rock he worshipped her in return.
@suiryuukishi I have to admit that it was a big mistake to forget to include that part of Infelious Rhaplanca in my previous replies. Thanks for your reminder! ...But still, as long as we have no additional information, it seems that there's no way to find the exact order (or the chronological order of when each story was created) of the stories (at least we know that this story is the final one, though.)
I keep coming back to this one. The entire Rhaplance myth is amazing but this line hits me differently, don't know why. It's my favorite out of them all, surpassing even the zodal line, as in the HAIBANATION+IMPLANTA story.
It is also extremely precious to the people of Metafalss, as their founding myth. Cloche materialized METHOD_IMPLANTA/. using part of the tune (at 2:30), despite them being different incarnations of the myth, which I can only guess indicates that it moves her deeply.
@Zer0Null In fact, the order is not really important; it is officially said that all the stories are unrelated to one another (even Rhaplanca and Maoh in each story are completely different characters with similar concept.) But "Infelious Rhaplanca ~memoir of the everlasting heaven and earth~," the story on which this song is based, refers itself as the last story in its beginning.
Are you sure of that? Because it all seems to be one story. You listen to all of them and you can peice together pretty much what happened. Account for the telephone phenomenon that tends to happen among long stretches of time and discern what they are speaking and you got the story.
Although if we get into details, Varda Rhaplanca comes before Zodal Rhaplanca, as Implanta has already been created in the latter. Still, there's no information on where Salavec Rhaplanca would fit in the order of these legends.
YES!!!! FINALLY YOU POST(upload) SOMETHING!!! XD And somehow i feel very nostalgic... Like METHOD_IMPLANTA/. But it's not... Hmm... I will use this for my next COVER! XD
Sounds like a pipe flute or something related to flutes. It'd be easier to figure it out if you search from common instruments used in medieval folk music. Since those are the kind of instruments Akiko-sama tends to normally use in all of her songs.
But there's still no information where it would fit chronologically. So far we have the order varda->zodal->infelious->whataver METHOD_ALTERNATION/.'s line is called, but salavec has nothing that allows us to discern where it would be placed.

That "METAFALICA" in the middle bit. Wow... That was pretty damn clever.
Though I don't know the instrument, Akiko Shikata has done a lot of work on the Ar Tonelico series. She is also the singer in this particular hymn.

At 2:08 the melody is sampled from METHOD_IMPLANTA. I had chills when I heard it the first time.
oh you're right, I was trying to work out where it was familiar from!
The invocation of METAFALICA gave me chills
I think that Akiko-sama is a god because this is too beautiful *-*
You know what amazes me? It's that the girl who created Maoh with her wish worshipped him, and when she turned into a rock he worshipped her in return.
Though Rhaplanca didn't worship Maoh, nor she did create him. They merely were married, although Rhaplanca was forced into marriage with him.

the metafalica verse gave me chilllls
Moah, he love Rhaplanca so much ;_;

if artonelico's hymmnos was a religion, ill convert to it, this songs were so powerful!
Awesome video, A+ my friend!

true that.
So that's why I was confused when I compare the story contained in this song with the one in EXEC_with.METHOD_METAFALICA/.
perfecto
I LOVE all the fun things that she's doing with her "r"s there in the beginning. Mmmm...delicious!
Awesome as always.
Hm, in what order Legends of Rhaplanca should be listened to hear the whole story?
Salavec Rhaplanca sounds like it would be at the beginning, since there's no Implanta yet.
damn this lyrics can sing very well then my mother I love a lot this music

Wow
Goddammit Rhaplanca stop sacrificing your life ! You deserve a better life with Maoh !
