Listening to this video with me earbuds, I kept thinking there was a mosquito around me. 😆 This video brought back memories of our childhood trips to visit my grandparents. I remember seeing a bunch of armadillos running through their neighborhood. And we visited a powerplant on the gulf where the manatees liked to congregate. Good times. We just had a manatee near my house in one of the salt ponds. First manatee sighting in RI since 2016!
I always enjoy your videos, but this was one exceptional. Beautiful scenery, great camera angles and lots of helpful information. This also brought back memories for me. Several years ago we toured the space center and then hiked here with our kids. My kids were so excited to see their first Armadillo here. It was this winter, so was interesting to see how it differs in the summer. Smart move being prepared with the bug net!
This was such a delight to watch, you really did get to experience some amazing views and you got to see an Aardvark - maybe you don't call it that. Thanks for sharing.
Really liked watching this it is areas we have never been in and gives us some great ideas. The trails look great loved that one that lead to the beach access that was beautiful. I have never seen an armadillo in the wild that would be so interesting to me. Wouldnt look forward to worrying about the mosquitos and wearing the face netting but love the walkway with shells thats different for us. Maybe we wont do summer? But was thinking about doing a cruise from Florida around July may have to really investigate! This was nice to watch though and really liked it thanks!
I'm more into the mountains than the beaches, but this was a nice change of pace.It was great to see the wildlife and history of the Timucuan people. I am editing a companion video for Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge right now. Take care.
Enjoyed your video John, like the way you showed so many parts of the seashore. We once visited church friends who had a "Florida Home" in New Smyrna Beach, located just north of there. Thanks for another interesting and enjoyable video!
Ken, I drove through New Smyrna, I picked up a my lunch from a local. eatery. I was in the area on a business trip and was able to fit in this side trip. So glad I did! Other than the mosquitos, it was awesome. I've fallen behind on editing videos. This month I'm traveling to Yellowstone in our RV. I'll have to get back to editing. Take care John

You have to put up with the mosquitoes to see the other wildlife. 😂
Indeed, get away from them sea breezes and the mosquitos will carry you away around here! lol Beautiful area! Bruce and Otis
Bruce and Otis, I had no idea the mosquitoes were so bad. In Connecticut I’m immune to it. For the most part I never use insect repellent.

Thank you very much! I like to see nature and history and Canaveral has both. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel.

This was a bit of a surprise to me. I don’t gravitate to the beaches but this place was amazing.
