    Very nice summation and discussion of points!
    In terms of migration, if we understand how vital the increase in knowledge is to continuing civilizational progress, then allowing the immigration of relatively more knowledgeable migrants is simply an excellent way of boosting the knowledge level of your populace overall.
    Germans, as you mentioned and Sowell emphasized, have been historically some of the best farmers in the world, so just 'import' a bunch of Germans-as the U.S., Russia, and Argentina did-and PRESTO-you'll increase your agricultural productivity!

      Yeah, and conversely if you deport the disproportionately productive migrants (as happened to Indians and Pakistanis in Uganda under Idi Amin) then you will decrease your country's productivity.
