What a place to watch football! 🤯🇮🇹
Went there in 1990 with the Villa. Still one of the most memorable trips and stadiums I’ve ever seen. The atmosphere was up there with the noisiest I’ve ever experienced.
I was there too, won’t ever forget it!!
I went there in 94. Bus strike on so ground was empty. Glad I went but shame about atmosphere.
@@marksturch3162 you were there mate, that’s the main thing!
@@garypritchett8136 true. Also went to Athletico in 98. That was good.
@@marksturch3162 Nice, I wanted to go but never (another story!). I went to Bratislava, La Coruna & Helsingborg. Great trips, some of the best days of my life.
I did a tour of the stadium several years ago. Was awesome. Changing rooms for both teams, media area, got to stand on the edge of technical area too. Highly recommend it for any football fan. Milan itself is beautiful and the food is amazing.
Nice vid!. Was lucky enough to go both times with Villa in 90 & 94. 90 was probably the pinnacle of my Villa following life. Remember that approach to the ground as we walked across the car park under escort to thousands of jeering Italians as we Sang ‘where were you at Villa Park’ back at them. Gutting to lose how we did, but the experience was unforgettable. Sad it’s shortly to be no more, but things move on. 94 was good, but not so many there due to a tram strike in the city. Best memories of following Villa, Tnx for bringing it all back, UTV!!
I was there in 94 too.
Yes in the 1990 tie went with Steve's coaches from outside the Rotunda
@@ShaneRByse-ci7cb lol, me too mate, Steve Gough. We were probably on the same coach!
@@ShaneRByse-ci7cb Me too. Two of my mates and a couple of other mates by the end of the trip.
Never forget the stow away caught at Dover and the bloke being rushed to hospital because he forgot his insulin in France!
@@garypritchett8136 yes that's right his second name escaped me there . I am hoping to make it to the Bourmouth home game in March I now live in Scotland near Glasgow airport our daughter has a cheerleading comp in Brum that weekend .
Your videos have gotten great lately glad to see you not just villa content because there's nothing stopping you doing what AwayDays does numbers wise
Excellent vid in every respect Max!
On another level yet again
Saw Inter v Villa in 94 ish. Great experience. Everyone should get to a european game at least once.
Brilliant video lads I would also love to go to the San Siro. UTV
Great video, cheers from Italy❤️🖤forza Milan
Always a pleasure to see you upload a new video and podcast! Keep it up 👍
Much appreciated!
Class, happened to be visiting Milan and also went to that game. Not sure if I've warmed up yet...
Superb stadium!
I was there in 94, married a girl from Milan and that was the first time I'd met her parents. Her dad took me to see the game, amazing stadium and the atmosphere was great even though it was no where near the capacity... guess the Inter fans thought Villa were shit and not worth paying any attention to 😁I have to get back there one day.
Went in about 2008 to watch Inter v Fiorentina. Fantastic atmosphere, think Vieria, Figo, Balotelli, Stankovic and Cambiasso all played.
What an important win that was. We need to follow it up with a win at home against Palace on Saturday. And I'm backing Ollie to be on the score sheet again. Come on you Villa boys. UTV VTID
Yes I've been , but don't remember much as we was well pissed lol... had 3 days in Milan, great trip... lost 1-0 but knocked them out on the villa park second leg... that one I do remember ,great night at villa park... phil king penalty put us through...
Just looked it up 07 Nov 1990 & that was the last time I went to the San Siro. Talk about the ups & downs of being a Villa fan 2-0 up in the home tie to get done over 3-0 in the away leg. David Platt era & also at the part of the long career of Nigel Spink & Gordon (Sid) Cowans times at Villa 24 Oct 1990 Aston Villa 2 v Inter Milan 07 Nov 1990 Inter Milan 3 v Aston Villa 0
Any other stadiums you guys planning to visit such as camp nou or westfalstadion dortmund
Thank you guys
Went there with spurs last week, proper ground with proper fans. Facilities were shocking tho
Seen many of your villa videos Max and absolutely live them. Hadn't seen this one. First went to the San Siro for a Milan Derby in 97. 82000 in the ground plus many more on fake tickets. What a ground to goto. Would be devastated if this fell to the bulldozers thankfully this is currently not going to happen thanks to cultural heritage.
Great Video. I know that was a bad game but Serie A has been great in recent years for pure drama.
Nice video. You guys were just a bit unlucky. The game was poor and boring because we were in our worst moment of the last three years (January was the worst month of Milan's history) 😅 but maybe a match like this was needed to start the come back and defend our spot in the next UCL. I hope you see a better match next time. Forza Milan ♥️🖤
These videos continue to get better - if that’s possible !
I went there in 94. Just a shame there was a bus strike on, ground was empty.
san siro 🖤❤🖤❤
Their goal horn with zombie nation is a real adrenaline getter
Word on the street is that you (Max) forgot your ID and got bailed out to get in LOL!
Nice.
👍
Next most iconic world stadium will be the new AC Milan stadium
Ac Milan❤️🖤

Its ok but its no Villa Park.😉
Mate... you definitely picked up the wrong match... Juric's Torino is probably the most defensive side in Europe... playing with 5 defenders + 4 midfielders standing in front of them... basically 95% of Torino matches end up like this... with very few chances for both teams and no spactacular football at all. As far as the Italian Football in general is concerned, I think we should pay them some more respcet. When in the 90s and early 2000s they had the right spending budgets, they were completely dominating Europe... Ancellotti's Milan were playing with 6-7 attacking players at the same time (like Shevchenko, Inzaghi, Kaka or Rivaldo or Rui Costa, Seedorf, Pirlo, Cafu and Serginho!!!). And even in current times, when their budgets are just a fraction of top English teams (bytheway... top Italian teams nowadays in the transfer market are struggling to compete with Tier 2 or even Tier 3 English clubs in terms of spending capacity) ... they are still the third league in Europe and last year they have placed 5 sides in European semi-finals and 3 in the finals. Last year and this year Milan played against Spurs and Newcastle (both teams with a budget which is double or more compared to Milan's budget) and they did quite good etc. And also their national team, which is facing now its darkest hera probably... has been ablo to win a Euro in 2021, reaching another final in 2012 and winning the world cup in 2006
San Siro was belonged to AC Milan back then buy sadly because of snake Milan sold it
Historic! I was told the reason they are two clubs is A.C wouldnt play foreigners so International milan was formed ....and the reason AC Milan wear red an black , red represents hell and Inter Milan wear blue an black is blue represents heaven , the sky
UTV of course. But at San Siro gotta be Inter!
