The 80’s for me were the Best Tour De France years, Phil Liggett & the Late Great Paul Sherwin will never be beaten as a commentary team! The Pete Shelley theme tune was always the best, just can’t get it on my iPhone!
Sport and indeed most things has the power to do that to people. In addition, 1989 was a highly emotionally charged year with the Hillsborough incident affecting Sports fans and Broadcasters in the UK deeply. Sometimes things can't be explained. A person or an event, no matter how big or small can make an indelible impact upon your life that makes you perform one act that more and more people are insistent upon hiding, that act? Emotion. Love live it.

I used to video this show everyday when I was 16/17 then crank it and go out and clean the old bike and imagine I was in the tour-Greatest memories ever-AND I tottally want this tune!! MP3????
