I love seeing these POC ( piece of C ) tools , but hey you know someone's going to buy them . Ya can even get conversion kits to turn your 4" hand grinder with a 8-12" bar . I'm a thinking maybe mating one up with my 3hp Router , that baby outta sling chips 🤔🙄🤯
What I'd like to know is, how safe is this? I'm considering buying one because it's way cheaper than getting an actual chainsaw, which I'd only rarely use- but it's not worth it if I end up in A&E or dead, and this thing looks... suspicious.
Need the grinder model, the father in law bought one not realising you need a grinder. I have a Bosch grinder and the spindle is too big for the drive sprocket
can you guys believe we used this for 4 hours continuously and all we cost is the oil ...but mine getting hotter and the rubber Orin gets slick and makes the chain saw out of the angel grinder ...now I can find 1 only 1 rubber O ring to cutting my dead tree

What lubrication oil should I use for chainsaw converter?
Chainsaw oil or used motor oil. If its sticky, itll stay on the bar longer

It has no safety clutch and the speed is way too fast, obviously not safe

Pretty freaking safe if you tight it properly.
Not for me if thats all that stops the chain flying off the drive,🤔🤔😖😖🙁

Maybe take down the angle of cut on the change to smooth it out,
