I must say that I'm massively opposed to just how many articles on the Racing Post website are hidden behind the paywall, but the UA-cam content you guys pump out is produced to a top-notch level imo. Keep it up [on here!].
It's just pathetic now, almost every is hidden behind a paywall in their app unless you pay a ludicrous £47 a month, it doesn't help that any result outside the United Kingdom can take up to 30 minutes and for Australia, America, or Japan it's a hour, it's almost like they are still using carrier pigeons and smoke signals at the Racing Post head quarters.
Let's talk about last week's disgraceful article by "Stuart Riley" (who I E mailed without a response) regarding him trying to point score on the back of the tragic event that happened to John Hunt and his family.
brilliant idea micing jocks imagine in a 20 runner 3mile chase jocks telling trainer i know you wanted me near front but your bloody horse has other ideas ,how many times you watching a race and your horse in near rear giving 10-15 lengths or more and your horse is near top of market and at end it starts to run when race is all over and their is not explanation why it was placed so far back, to me it is schooling in public ,the horse should have a 40 day holiday and jockey may be 2 days suspension and may be trainers get may be a fine? and that money help injured jockey fund seems more jocks are getting very serious accidents
A great documentary, for us who love racing but will it attract more to the sport? Is there any proof that other sport docus have benefited their sport in any tangible way? Once the bettingshop/social gathering milieu started to decline, the massive working class support disappeared. Unlike other sports, many have not had any contact to horses. We have all tried football, tennis, swimming, cricket, golf(crazy), drive a car, basketball, cykle etc. The racing milieu is distant and percieved by many as elitist and exclusive.
First two episodes were pretty dull. Third was better, but people have probably switched off by then. A whole episode on the king George wasn't necessary. Wasted opportunity.

ITV racing presenters see themselves as PR for the industry ,same as RTE. We need more debate about issues that arises. We have too little of debate
why haven't they done a series for the Flat season as well that probably would've been better
